That is why the bits we cannot xplain aren't taught in schools.
For crying out loud evolution is only given half an hour in a 3 year course where the hell do they think the time would be found to teach the rest.
Religion is compulsory for 3 years- should we teach platetectonics in the religion class.

Is it just coincidence cartomancer but what you just typed seems to be arranged in groups of 4 lines and the last syllable of each line in the majority of cases has the same "sound"- although occasionally this happens on alternate lines.
Does this arrangement add to a point you wish to prove?

Of course it is confusing (the concept of soul)but so is the fact that an ant community functions, that we see it as a quirky product of a simple physical world does not impoverish our understanding of the world.
The fact that we can contemplate this can happen without "magical souls" requires more thought than the world has some sort of soul. That explains nothing.

"Reality is both more and less than we can easily imagine.
I find what is revealed to us by science and reason to be far more wonderful and aesthetically pleasing and satisfying than the shallow conceits of souls and gods"
My instinct tells me this is far closer to the truth than anything else I have read tonight.

Is metaphor ok so long as it conforms with the norm.
Suppose I had my own set of nonsense metaphors, would they be taken as seriously, or would they lack the essential appeal to conformed authority that intellectualism requires?
Plato believed all sorts of shite but I guess that is ok because he was plato.

Oh fuck it it you are all korrekt.
Metaphor is a perfectly acceptable way of viewing reality.
Not going the whole hog is a refusal to accept the metaphor as fact laurie, how does that differ from saying it is horseshit.

metaphors can be useful but is religion responsible for them, religion came along a long time after the human being but has tried to usurp its thought processes which existed long before religion, you are assisting it in its delusion of grandeur.

Why is language considered so important to explain consciousness.
Could it be our constant struggle to view ourselves apart from the rest of the natural world.
Without conciousness language could never exist.
But why let the obvious spoil a supremecy dream.
But to believe consciousness is present in an unsentient being is also a little bizarre.

Your preference to style has no bearing on truth Santi.
Hitchens is in love with himself and a pompous windbag, repetitous in the extreme.
He is in his element showing off in Hogwarts dining room. Richard is more interested in the protection of his specialised subject.
Existential?- pseuds corner is beckoning Santi.

Surely it is a contradiction to say you have other proof and then to say you can not prove it in the same post.
