It was fun to notice how Dawkins, and I as viewer, in the beginning of the interview anticipated standard attacks from Kiefer but she turned out to be friendly.

ricey: "Even a member of the Royal family"
You know that royals are born to their "profession"? Any nut can be a princess and get their nutty ideas in the media.
Royalty is as silly as religion.
And Lehrer is a genius.

Hm. Would a good god allow atheists to kill 100 000 000 humans?

"
The Saturn one is a later picture. http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap061016.html
Sagan is a slightly dramatic about the sunbeam. The sunbeam is a optical effect in Voyagers camera that was caused by the Sun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pale_Blue_Dot

Hard to choose:
Jared Diamond's Guns, Germs & Steel was not on the list so:
Bill Bryson, "A Short History of Nearly Everything"
Donna Tartt, "The Secret History"
or
Richard Dawkins, "The God Delusion"
hmm...
OK, I ended up submitting Dawkins.

scottishgeologist: "What weefree is referring to happened in the 90's. There may have been incidents in the 70s but I dont know about them.
It is linked to death metal, heathen, satanist types who burned some old stave churches."
I´m sure of that too. Just want to give weefree a chance to prove himself before calling him a liar!
After all I´m not a christian.

At last! Proof of us swedes superior intelligence ;) (World leading atheist nation acording to polls.)
It´s not a question of IQ, it´s a question of good secular education to all citizens. I would say. Less elitism, less religion!

Nice to see that the discussion has moved to the theist side of the net. I think we often are too polite and end up discussing trivial points against atheism (Hitlers beliefs etc) instead of the chasms of bad logic, lack of evidence and lies that christianity excel in.
