Aquinas presents them (as do most other mainstream Christian theologians) as confirmations of faith rather than proofs of it.

So - If you have faith these are good, true logical arguments,

if you dont have faith they are not

It's difficult to know where to begin with this poor reasoning, it baffles me that this person gets in to print.

The Onion is usually top-notch satire, with a fairly regular "lol" quotient. Seems to me that it is going off the boil a little, but still worth browsing at work (www.theonion.com)

One thing that is often overlooked by American commentators - America is not the whole world! This hand-wringing over "unbelief" - A lot of the world (Well Europe at least) has got over that already. Better look further afield before you start to look like backward hicks, if that has not happened already.

Is this really so? Despite Tony Blair's religious leanings, they told the Catholic church to take a hike over adoption by gays.

Yes - Be on the lookout - But in thrall of religion - I'm not sure.
