There won't be any critiques of this study until it is published (in Social Science Research), and I'll bet anyone here my left pinky that there will be no coverage of any of the critiques in the popular media.

This has got to be someone's weak attempt at satire. Pokemon was big a few years back, but has been waning in popularity. The kids shouldn't be bringing games of ANY sort to school anyway. An exception might be if there are after school clubs where the games are played, but bringing them out during class is a good way of getting them confiscated.

Of course, Pokemon evolution has no resemblance or relationship to biological evolution (other than the shared name).
