Superb... Closing in on 8000 and the sex talk is just getting on...

On second thought, sex talk can be seen as a sign of...

Oh I forget, distracted and all...

Extended pinky fingers'...

Now that spells trouble for this thread...

What to do, what to do...

No, it's gotta have that 'ya' at the end, not 'a'..,

Are you saying Palin was in Fargo?

We'd have to ask her, being the well travelled person she is...

Maybe she can see Fargo from her house...

So, if we were to create sexbots, do you think there would be a market for ones that say "You Betcha" at appropriate moments?

No, it's gotta have that 'ya' at the end, not 'a'...
It gives it that added flavor...

Every Tuesday, whether they need one or not.

... (adds) The recounts are held on Wednesday and Thursday, the legal case at first instance on Friday, the Press allegations about electoral fraud on Saturday and Sunday and the Supreme Court ruling on Monday.

No no, you've got the legal case and press allegations reversed...
And you forgot interviews with Palin also occur on Friday, with her response of "You Betchya" after every attempt at trying to see if there will be any investigations...

Hi Hawt4Dawk,
Good idea on the lyric game, maybe see what song this comes from:

Eddie's got one crazy eye
that turns him into a cartoon
when a pretty girl comes by
and there's nothin' here to do anymore
he sits on the stoop all day
like there's something he's waiting for
Cunt-finger Louie picks up Eddie in the alley
he's got all those guys with him
from that town where they all look like Frankie Valli
they speak fluently blonde
from her legs to her cigarette
and Louie told Eddie that he'd fix him up
but he ain't come back yet
well, you know
It's more trouble than it's worth
it's more trouble than it's worth
Oh Wild and the Only ones
Tell him where you are ---
Oh Wild and the Only ones
Tell him where you are
Tell him where you are
Zero quit school
and she lost her job again
and then her boyfriend beat her up
and now he won't let her in
so she's walking by his joint
in a black and blue dress
she looks at Louie who elbows Eddie who says
"don't tell me, lemme guess."
It's more trouble than it's worth
he's more trouble than he's worth
Oh Wild and the Only ones
Tell him where you are ---
Oh Wild and the Only ones
Tell him where you are
Well at first when it was this way
when they're the only ones
and you've got all these ideas
you never tell to anyone
there are always magnets
pulling each of you there
living every story you'd dare
to be the only ones
the only ones...

And no fair googling ;-)
Gotta really go now, night time business and all...

Comment #267934 by severalspeciesof on October 21, 2008 at 9:27 am

ORLY? Then why has the military voted overwhelmingly Republican for so long? Even from personal experience, most "military families" I know vote Republican. ESPECIALLY pro-R are the Marines, go figure.

We're not talking about people who then go on to public office. We're talking about who those that serve vote INTO office.
With further thought, you're right, but there is a kind of paradox in the fact that those being elected are (generally) from the military if Democrat, and not if Republican. Weird huh?
And let's not forget to include the other qualifications that Al submitted, in order to vote:
1) Ameri-corps
2) Peace Corps
3) Military

EDIT:(sorry I hit the submit button too soon)
To which I would say, Ameri-corps and Peace Corps would probably lean Democrat while Military would lean Republican
EDIT: added *generally*

Oh, I don't know about that. I don't think Democrats are any more or less likely than Republicans to serve.

Agreed here...
In fact, if memory serves me, I seem to remember seeing a breakdown list of those who served in the military vs those who did not, regarding the Federal Government, (i.e. senators) back in the '04 election. Democrats seriously outnumbered the Republicans regarding service in the military.

All this talk about unions, governments and centralization of power and it's affects reminds me of a line from Roger Waters' "Amused to Death" CD:

"Give any one species too much rope, and they'll fuck it up"

Carry on now,

only 2486 to go....

Tez,
I remember pulling down the old plaster in my son's room. Ugly job, and the pile of plaster sat unmoved for a year in my garage (didn't have the money at the time the room was being gutted to rent a dumpster) so to this day that's what my garage has been used for... storage of junk...

So the moral of this story (as if there should be one) is: get that shit out of your life asap or you will never use your garage as a garage ever...

I'm assuming you have a garage...

again thanks for answering my follow up question.

Does Powell's endorsement and probable advising role to Obama give you any less reservations about Obama being president?

Thanks for the link Titania (Comment #267133 by Titania), and to add to that, according to wikipedia:

"...on February 7, 2008, even before it was known that the the presidential candidate senator Barack Obama would become the presidential nominee of the Democratic Party, the man whose family helped to establish the Pro-Life movement wrote a passionate article entitled "Why I'm Pro-Life and Pro-Obama."

To me, this raises many questions as to why Romney left the primaries. I for one was actually looking forward to a Clinton vs. Romney scene at this point in time...

[edit: well, actually the above points don't raise those questions about Romney, I was thinking outloud there from the back of my mind...]

Oh well...

Comment #267132 by severalspeciesof on October 20, 2008 at 9:02 am

Not sure if this fits, (just thinking out loud here) but I get the feeling Powell may have done this to have 'revenge' upon the republican party for letting him hang out in the wind during Bush's last bit of his first term...

Does it for the average American? If I remember correctly, he took a lot of the fall for the lies and distortions. Even if he wasn't really responsible, I'm not confident that the average American sees it that way.

To be honest, regarding anything political in this country, I'm not sure one could even know what the 'average American' actually thinks.
