Sorry for taking that comment personally.
Got some issues I'm mostly over, but there's still a twinge now and then.

Mind you, have to admit that the less you have to offer, the smaller the choices you can make :-)

Allow me to make my position a little clearer.
When it comes to eugenics, I'm pretty much an anarchist.
Leave people the fuck alone.
And that goes all the way to subtle eugenics like diet pressures, and Madison Avenue shit.
Stop trying to bludgeon people into a cookie-cutter standard.

I don't put my hopes for humanity in the gene basket, I put it in the education basket.

That's where standards should apply, not genes.

The other way around, we become the very gene-puppets Dawkins warns against in "the selfish gene".

Anyway, not like we don't do it now...after all, we pick (mostly) our partners, don't we?

Eugenics after all is just Artificial Selection applied to humans.

Who does the selecting?

Everyone I've seen step up to be the one hasn't been anyone I'd trust with the job.

Oh, and Ayn Rand and C.S lewis are both laughable quacks.

If the only choices in the universe were between their respective philosophies, I'd fucking kill myself.

Good thing that's not the case.

The people rendered obsolete by the wave of superbabies.

And then, society at large, when as julesfkirby thoroughly pointed out, the law of unintended conequences comes into play.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing that Social Darwinism caused Adolf Hitler's racist beliefs.

And I'm equally sick of hearing Social Darwinism even mentioned, much less confused with Darwinism.

Social Darwinism is neither social, nor Darwinist.

It's artificial selection based on an arbitrary criteria.

We would've just had to've fought 'em again.
And I shudder to think of what this country would've been if they'd won round 2.
No, better that they were nipped in the bud, and broken.
Their ass still glistens from the spanking, and they still whine, and spew their lincoln-hate propaganda, and their lame "the south will rise again", fantasies, but better that, than the alternative, thanks.

May I assume you didn't ask, because it's self-evident that it's an ancient text written by sun-roasted lunatics?

I simply pointed out your athiest guru..

You would not follow thru with the feelings of your post with a face to face situation if a religious paranoid schizophrenic was battering his own brains out.

I never intimated that I would, nor do I believe that I'd have to for my view to be consistant.

I merely said, fuck him if he does.
I'd prevent it if it were happening inches from me, but you can't keep a suicide watch on an ass like that 24/7.

Who on earth does that woman think she is? For a black woman, who has doubtless been on the receiving end of similar discriminatory remarks, to use that platform to highlight her own prejudice is, frankly, almost criminal.

Well, notice how she tried to wrap herself in Lincoln, as if to say "Lincloln was (insert whatever good quality) therefore, you're the opposite of all that, and thus the intolerant one".

All her language was like that.
Painting him as the villain, so that being intolerant to him would be seen as tolerant.

But I agree with the poster who said it was probably all to cover up her money funneling.

Okay, since you saw fit to quote mine me, allow me to elaborate.

Fuck him!!

Okay?

Fuck him!!

These doomsday assholes are fucking people who've given the fuck up on life, see no future for humanity, and want us all to fucking burn.

And that includes fucking everybody.
Your family, mine, little kids, parakeets.
They want it all to go.

And on top of that, not content to just go off and fucking hang themselves in a garage, they have to build a little shitty ego tripping fucking cult around themselves, and manipulate people with fucking fear, and warp other minds into having their same fucking disease, adding to the very misery they loathe on this earth for their own sociopathic ego aggrandisement, and then to top all of that shit off, they wanna take their little cult to "paradise", with them.

Well, fuck him.
Let the moron bang himself with a fucking log.
Hateful dipshit.
I'm supposed a pity a motherfucker who tries to spread that kind of harm on the world?
Fuck him.
Fucking idjit.
Fuck all these doomsday cult motherfuckers.
Waco, Heaven's Gate, all of 'em.
Wish more of 'em would just do themselves, instead of hurting other people.
Fucking shitstains.

Sorry, I can't find it in me to ladle out the cream of human goodness to self absorbed destructive sociopaths.

Guess that makes me on awful person, eh?

Well, I happen to think it's perfectly fine to hate evil.
And I think stupidity in high enough quantities and concentration is evil.

Go ahead and judge me.

Like I give a fuck.

I go with the morality that helps me sleep at night.

I woudn't be able to do so if I gave people like this the same respect as my friends, cuz they're not, they're my enemies.
There, I said it.
The harmfully ignorant are my fucking enemies.
That's a line I've fucking drawn.
Sorry if it's not PC enough for you.

Also, say I had a time machine, and plopped Einstein, Darwin, Hubble, Bohr, Heisenberg, etc back before any of the prophets came along, and they presented their facts, and got people to accept them, and THEN the scribblers of the Bible came along, do you think anyone would believe them?

I'm doubting it.
They'd be seen in the same light as L. Ron Hubbard.

And then what?
Would the angry desert God blow up the world in a tantrum?

Indeed I did.
I notice how he outright avoided my second point too.

Don't think he could fathom it.

Someone who feels the need to be led by a big sky daddy, and his funny-costumed earthly representatives, would probably find themselves flailing in the abyss with an ant-like heirarchy structure torn away from them.
