I thoroughly enjoyed your post, certainly made me chuckle.
If these people weren't so greedy then indeed it would be truly hilarious, but sadly, they are the ones that are 'laughing all the way to the bank'
I just cannot understand why anyone with an ounce of grey matter would part with one penny to swell their already enormous tax free bank accounts.
How can people believe the utter drivel that oozes out of their mouths. It is a mystery to me.
I've said it before, ignorance is NOT bliss!
Nice pearls Dr Rex....hmmm, I wonder if they are real?
53. The New Atheists loathe religion far too much to plausibly challenge it

Hmmmm, she wants proof. How strange, didn't think the religious types thought a lot about proof as far as their religion is concerned.
Oh well, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and I enjoyed every delicious mouthful of TGD! Very tasty indeed and so easy to digest.

In my opinion, Bill Maher's irreverence towards religion is truly refreshing. Real Time is like an oasis in the cultural desert of American television.
We really should be glad that he is willing to speak out and not be intimidated by the Establishment.
Congratulations Bill, well done!

I have watched all 10 twice now and have to say I enjoyed it even more the second time.
There is plenty of food for thought.
Really excellent. I look forward to BB2007.

Absolutely frightening the way these people zero in on the vulnerable.
It never fails to amaze me that people fall for this kind of mindless madness.
You would think that the fraudulent behaviour of many of these evangelists would somehow alert these potential converts.
None so blind as those who don't want to see, I guess. 'Tis sad though.

I couldn't agree with you more
'Professor Dawkins is a world wide, highly respected, and well documented in his chosen fields of scientific research. In the literary world, too, his name is fast becoming a household word through his scientifically documented, easy to read books. He is also a formidable speaker, who, has never lost his composure, nor manners no matter how deep the mire of ignorance he constantly wades through.'
Absolutely true, you hit the nail on the head!

I thought the TRUTH was what all scientists seek.
How on earth can he be a practising jew, knowing what he knows. The same could be said if he were a christian or a moslem, and please note I retyped the religion names, replacing the capitals with lower case. Nothing there to respect, when you look at their long and bloody history.
At last, Atheists (NB the capital) are ready and willing to stand up and be counted, thanks to Richard Dawkins unwavering courage and commitment to the truth.
I truly do thank him for saying all the things that so many of us thought, but had difficulty putting in to words.

Although Richard only got to speak for a minute and a half, what he said was excellent. He remained polite in the face of ignorance, a definite plus for us.
I agree that the more public exposure the better for us all. A good plug for TGD which I am sure will generate more book sales.
Ignorance is not bliss!
