I really don't understand why these people don't pay attention to what happens in the world. Dont' they realize that this has been tried over and over and always ends up the same. Creationism isn't science so where are they getting the idea that it is. Maybe we need to make some kind of creation island where all these people can live cut off from the normal rational world, there they can believe whatever they want and teach eachother whatever they make up, which seems to be what they do anyway.
52. Pentagon Sued Over Mandatory Christianity

If you thought it may have been hard to come out to your mother about being an atheist then imagine being surrounded by dozens of highly trained, brainwashed american soldiers who kill for a living who love jesus. Telling them you think their deity doesn't exist isn't something i would feel comfortable doing in the middle of the desert. This is a good example of one of those places closet atheists must be hiding.
53. Open letter to YouTube video

This is totally crazy, how can someone in jail manipulate this kind of system so much. Does youtube have some kind of anti-atheist agenda or are they just attempting to cover their butts from any real legal action against them. Either way I say anyone with a youtube account should send a little email so we can flood their servers with this. Maybe they will come to a more appropriate conclusion rather then banning innocent users.
54. San Diego Diocese Settles Lawsuit for $200 Million

Its good that they ended up paying more than they were attempting to get away with i just can't get past the idea that no criminal charges were filed. Child abuse is one of those crimes that most would define as unforgivable but it seems when you are a member of the church you get some kind of special protection from the "laws of man". I would like to see some kind of court order forbidding the church to take care of younger kids and make some kind of mandatory age before they are allowed to go. Let the kids decide for themselves if they wanna talk privately with a priest.
55. God not out of the question for most Canadians
Comment #54170 by JamesDB on July 5, 2007 at 8:12 pm
Huh this is a little irritating being a Canadian. I do like that British Columbia is the second most in this poll becuase thats where i live but this whole thing suggests that Canada is still dealing with that American wave of denial. My Mom is a miracle believing christian and for the life of me I can't get her to see anything scientific in life. The last time i asked her about the bible she seemed to have no idea about anything she believed except for what her mom had taught her, its so discouraging. I know too many christians that seem to just be saying it to keep their families happy. Silly fellow canadians, i know you don't really believe.
56. Bill O'Reilly and Kirk Cameron on Atheism

Oh its amusing to see Bill O'Reilly talk about god with that silly little satisfied feeling he seems to get about knowing whats going on. I can't stand when Kirk Cameron talks. He always tries to sound as intelligent and well rounded as possible when obviously he isn't paying attention.
Awesome edit on the video as well i loved the big bang pop up.
