51. Seven new deadly sins: are you guilty?

Comment #141881 by Ed-words on March 11, 2008 at 10:14 am

I think rational people
(like RDers) use the word
euthanasia to mean "mercy
killing", not genocide.

Germany has had a big fight over the issue and may have
voted in some compromise.

to MPhil:

Euthanasia is working in Oregon, Germany,Holland,
and being considered in Mexico City. What we do for cats and dogs we shouldn't OFFER to
humans?

If some people prefer to
suffer, let them.

Two "sins" the Pope overlooked:

brainwashing children and
preventing euthanasia!

54. How to abandon your God

Comment #139419 by Ed-words on March 5, 2008 at 7:22 pm

The last paragraph is a very fuzzy definition of God.
The 1st chapter of TGD rightly states that one can't
debate the existence of a god
so broadly defined.

Does the writer pray to
his "God-all-over-the-place"?

55. Bulldozers tear down giant religious teapot

Comment #138705 by Ed-words on March 4, 2008 at 5:46 pm

Is this any crazier than what I believed till I was 19 yrs old? (49 years ago)

Namely,that priests could turn bread
and wine into the body and blood of Christ!

Who are considered "Catholics" in these

polls?

1 Couples using contraception?

2. Chileno guys discussing "the night before"
while waiting for their girl friend to
exit the church?

3. Those who "catch" a Mass every Easter?

The numbers are inflated.

60. Church is paying a high price for its celibacy rule

Comment #135310 by Ed-words on February 28, 2008 at 8:16 pm

Multiply all the celibate priests and nuns,

past and present, times 7 or 8 brainwashed

kids,and you'll see what a blessing this

has been to the world.

DON'T LET THEM MARRY!!!

61. Add another flea to the list...

Comment #133543 by Ed-words on February 26, 2008 at 10:44 am

Do not throw a "flea" into the garbage

when you're done.

Garbage deserves more respect.

62. Why do we believe in God? 2m study prays for answer

Comment #130557 by Ed-words on February 20, 2008 at 8:58 pm

Maybe they can study why we fight so hard to display a code of conduct given us by a war criminal.

(Could he be an atheist himself?)

69. Bill Maher on Larry King Live

I guess the creationists are not alone

71. The God Delusion: Now Available in US Paperback

Comment #113843 by Ed-words on January 20, 2008 at 6:24 pm

To GALACTOR - -

The reviewer's rationale for God sounds familiar.

In the movie "Contact", the atheist(Jodie Foster) tells the "believer" there is no god.

He retorts,"Then who is it that I love?"

The screenplay SHOULD have had Foster
responding, "You love your fantasy!"

72. Minnesota Atheists Interview Richard Dawkins

Comment #113817 by Ed-words on January 20, 2008 at 4:51 pm

In a 2002 biography of

Isaac Asimov by his wife,

his belief was that

"atheist" was too negative.

He preferred "rationalist".

How about a FOUR HORSEWOMEN DVD?

75. Moderates Storm The Religious Battlefield

Comment #106642 by Ed-words on January 3, 2008 at 8:11 am

If Ms. Miller's "moderates" leave room for

Exorcists are coming to town.

79. Pope's exorcist squads will wage war on Satan

Comment #104710 by Ed-words on December 29, 2007 at 7:30 am

It's not just this Pope. Pope John Paul enlarged

his Vatican exorcism class to 250 priests years

ago. They were taught the difference between

epileptic convulsions and those that were

unexplainable (i.e.Satanic)

(P.S. Ms.Paula Kirby's Comment No. 24 is

priceless.)
