51. When Atheists Attack

Comment #254172 by Ishruul on September 25, 2008 at 12:23 pm

Would it be fun to watch a superior alien race coming down to earth telling us: 'god, allah? Haven't you figured it out already? That's just bullshit.'' Then 2 alien wearing some rainbow colored shirt (looking suspiciously androgynous) start french kissing in front of the US president welcoming them.

Then, one of the alien just ask him (or her, I'm no sexist) if he would like the beneficial and joyful experience of an anal probing session!

54. Cathedral seminar to equip clerics to deal with Dawkins

Comment #253136 by Ishruul on September 24, 2008 at 6:04 am

Ah, welcome everyone to the Anti-Richard Dawkins's first 'How to Defend Yourself Against The Dark Logic' seminar.

Let's start by equipping yourself with the basic protection against atheism, here's some earplugs, a 3 Blessed longsword of The Crusader and a frontal lobotomy. What's that? Yes, the lobotomy is mandatory.

Now all we need to do is read scripture. Yes that right, read it. What? Making sense of it? No, just read it. No you can't interpret it or find metaphoric relevance, just read it.

Ok, that was a producting 5 hours. What? Peeing? No , that's a sin. The effort of holding it in is repentance, get used to it. alright, so now let's practice our most 'REVERED WEAPON AGAISNT ALL THE EVIL ATHEIST OF THE WORLD'. Ready everyone? Let's repeat it for the next 50 years or so: ' Poor misguided soul, I'll pray for you!'

That will be 50$ each and good night!

Religion bring depression? Of course it does, I had to go to the christmas sermon or whatever it's called when I was 13. Took only 10 minutes before I got that urging to shoot myself in the head with a saw off shotgun!

Depression!!! The priesthood of boredom couldn't be depressing, with their 2,000 years old book on piety and goodness from people who hoard slaves and sold their daughter. Ye who is without sin cast blah, blah, blah... And the lord begget blah, blah, blah...

They should put some cheap strip-tease hooker up on the altar, that would help soothe the depression!

I really don't think that philosophy is a science, but it could (can) bring scientist to explore new possible outcome of their respected field.

The question to where science -should- lead us is more about ethic than philosophy. You know like no eugenics thingy or death camp for medical studies.

I should disregard myself, for ethic is a branch of philosophy.

80. Better Know a Lobby - Atheism

Comment #240855 by Ishruul on September 1, 2008 at 7:13 am

I've just watched that 'interview' (the link don't appear to work for canadian resident, had to see it on youtube.com).

What on earth did the lady expected from Colbert beside making fun of her (and the Secular')? She just shot herself in the foot. That is why I think Richard Dawkins don't go to creationism debates, you lower yourself for the interest of other group (wich are mostly just for ratings).

The Atheist's lobby is in it's fetal state, wich mean it need strong representation or it will not florish. That lady is suppose to be representing the atheist's interest, she just got screwed big time on Colbert's report. What if it was a real debate or interview? She, her agent or board of direction, whoever'S in charge, should have done their homework and filter what TV shows could constitute a visibility benefit andnot the opposite.

She chose to go to the Colbert's Report, she got owned (who else wouldn't have been?). Poor choice, but it just was the Colbert's Report on Comedy Central, lucky it wans't the O'Reilly show or the CNN news!

That was the first time I heard about the Secular lobby movement, too bad it had to be THAT time.

P.S. I love South Park, futhermore, it's because of them I learned about you mister Dawkins. For what it's worth , I think they do the atheist cause a lot of good.

81. Human geography is mapped in the genes

Comment #240839 by Ishruul on September 1, 2008 at 6:44 am

Incidentally, this sort of information is of good effect in countering creationist claims of descent from Noah - for even this small amount of genetic diversity to arise over ~4500 years, evolution would need to be even *more* powerful than the creationists like to acknowledge. The irony...

Those are all lies! Just ask Ray Comfort, he'll say something about Microevolution or that god work in mysterious ways. Oh you atheist, don't you know DNA is Satan way to mess around? Pfff...genones, DNA, fossils, all the technology we have now, what's next? Memes?

I bet if we build up a time machine and send the pope on a five minute trip to 1,000,000 B.C., playing with a T-Rex or something, on his way back, he would still claim it was god way of telling us we should all have blind faith. Cauze he work in mysterious ways.

1- Mutilation, murder, torture, etc...Is inflicting harm to someone consciently. A highway accident, is an accident, wich mean not on purpose.

2-

Muslim child mutilators have been indoctrinated since early childhood to view mutilating children as not much of a problem.
That doesn't make it acceptable, it's like saying murder is ok cauze some guy said so.

3-

Babies cry when they're born.

Of course, take a football, get it through a hole the size of a golf ball without serious harm. Your knowledge of human anatomy is quite non-existant (beside the redundant blind-spot metaphor).

4-
I'm trying to picture how I could be fucking and sexually frustrated at the same time.

I apologize about that one, it wasn't aimed at you, but rather any retard who thing mutilating people for religious beliefs is good. Wich is always because of sexual frustration, aiming for control.

5-
So, would you care to try again, with something resembling relevant facts this time? I get that you think cutting off a piece of useless skin is worse than mowing people down in cars, but can you explain why?

I see you have absolutely no clues about the difference between intentionnal actions and unintentionnal ones. The abstract concept of 'choice' may be something you apply to everything?

6-
The first step is to realize you've been brainwashed to believe at least a few unreasonable things. If you can manage just that much, you've moved ahead of about 99% of homo sapiens.

Unlike you, I wasn't brought up in the cretartionism fundamentalistic views. I'm no U.S. citizen either, I don't even have a car (by choice, not for ecological reason but economical).

I'm impressed at your hubris that we are the world's morality police.

Like I said, I ain't a US citizen and I don't think US should police anything beside the US. The UN is a consortium of country willing to uphold the law in a global fashion, still it need to be back up by the majority to do so.

But since you seem to have something against highways, traffic and cars, I can point out an organization that you would like to support.

7-
I get that you think cutting off a piece of useless skin is worse than mowing people down in cars, but can you explain why?

I didn't said that, they are not the same thing, one is inpose the other incidental.

I had to read that article twice just to be certain I didn't misinterpret it. I was sure it was about Darwin and is review on Genesis.

Alas, no Phil Collin around at the time it seem, therefore he had to settle down for the Bible. Then again, this article is not about Darwin's view on the genesis, but rather another bullshit attempt by creationism to get Darwin under the warm wing of biblical ignorance.

Hitler was a catholic, 'in God we trust' was their fucking motto. Denial and imagination land, fuck it, they just want to rewrite history to suit their stupid beliefs.

I really wonder if the pope and other church leaders know there's no god and supernatural world, but why close a business that rake the money in?

Comment #239510 by Ishruul on August 29, 2008 at 7:42 pm

The lesser of two evil...

Comparing oranges with bananas is futile I agree, we can't compare traffic accidents with child-mutilation on the one fact that traffic accidents aren't an infringement of human rights.

But cutting the weiner of children and clipping off vaginal lips are. It is torture. You disregard someone objection(babies does have objections, crying is a fucking good exemple)to perform some ritual, wich may be a high value for you, but not the the one wich it's directed to.

Common sense ain't an universally grasped concept. So we must, humanity as a whole, support more sanctionned actions taken by the UN to eradicate violation of human right.

EDIT: I bet if plucking out 1 eye be a religious custom of some country, we'll clean their act real quick. Fucking sexually frustrated dickhead.

Damn right! Is it no coincidence miss Guglielmucci spoke with a reporter. They wanted this story publicise. Therefore they are subject to criticizism by the public (wich we are part of). Same goes for Angelina Jolie, Georges Clooney, Bin Laden and Superman.

We cannot allow ourselves to be naive, too much people lend their back on media to advance their petty agenda (miss Guglielmucci is a good exemple, altruistic maybe, but the royalties on books are worth the price).
