Craig M. Young of the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology writes in the book that the diversity of life in the abyss "may exceed that of the Amazon Rain Forest and the Great Barrier Reef combined."

Amazing......what else can you say? As you can see from my user name, I am a lover of all things nautical.

chadvadar
12 Therefore He said: "A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. 13 So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten *minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come.' 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, 'We will not have this man to reign over us.'

26 'For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 27 But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.'
It's no good coming here and quoting from your bloody buy-bull, the vast majority of posters on this site probably don't believe a word of your buy-bull, so you may as well post passages from Harry Potter books.
Why don't you run along and find a nice xtian forum, where you can all talk bullshit together.

If it is found that a person is mentally unstable, or a child or disabled, there should be no punishment," he said. "It's a very merciful religion if you try to understand it."

Absolutely priceless.

"Would someone explain to me why Walt Disney is considered evil?"

I believe, among other things he was a wife beater.

mr harry
Why is a judge looking to the Koran for guidance in making this decision? Why is she not looking to the laws of this liberal democracy instead?

I think the judge was taking the piss, you know? you've made your bed now lie in it, kind of thing.

57. Archive Hour: BBC and Religion

Comment #35730 by posiedon on April 28, 2007 at 3:42 pm

the corporation has always had to tread carefully with regard to the nation's religious sensitivities.

For jebus sake! when will the BBC realize that the nation's religious sensitivities. Are a figment of their own imagination.

How nice to see the Isles getting a mention. Thanks Quetzalcoat.

Billy- I always test my worshippers. I am a mischievous God. JB is on the way, however I used Royal Mail to transport her, and they sent her to the Shetland Isles by mistake. She should get to you soon. Have faith, my acolyte.

I'll hang on to her for a while, if that's OK?

61. Are You Right Eyed Or Left Eyed?

Comment #27737 by posiedon on March 26, 2007 at 12:10 pm

I'm completely blind in my left eye (severed optic nerve) following a car crash in 1972.
All those optical illusion things you see scattered around the internet, don't work for me, you must need two eyes for them to work, oh, and I'm right handed but left footed.

62. A 'Sad First' in the History of the Congress

Comment #25824 by posiedon on March 15, 2007 at 10:39 am

Surely the fact that he has been in office for 35 years, shows that you can be a good person and do a good job, without the sky daddy.
I suspect this fact is the fundies biggest worry, as they can't possibly "demonise" him now.

God bless America!!! How long I wonder before we see the first Lynching? or maybe they'll plump for a crucifiction.
It's time these people were dragged out of the middle ages.

>He is sensitive to the religious retort that 'monsters like Adolf Hitler, Joseph Hitler, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot and Kim Il Sung spring from the womb of atheism'.<

Don't you just get sick to the back teeth, with this "Hitler was an Atheist" bullshit! HE WAS NOT, but I see he had a brother called Joe????

65. Academy denies claims from job candidate

Comment #25124 by posiedon on March 10, 2007 at 9:02 am

This is an all too short interview, with the wingnut who is in charge of these academies, it was originally a bit longer, and he admitted that he believed the ark story AND the Jonah nonsense.
It appears to have been edited, to spare him embarrassment
