Al,
As for gay homes, I don't have the stats, but I would guess they are MUCH better than "care homes".

Of I didn't give any of the plot away, and it isn't as if Yoruichi is a self-professed lesbian, that is merely my conclusion. I gave nothing about the plot or story away in the least and the clip is just a thirty second on of Yoruichi displaying her awesomeness, it has no real relevence to anything. No one even speaks in it.
They are both surrealist though, so they are mind fucks. Lots of crazy incomprehencible shit happening.

SRY, Mitch. I appreciate the link, but I'm not gonna. Already spoiled Yori's awesomeness so far. I'll stay in the dark, thanks. ;) Not that I don't APPRECIATE it, which I do. One question though. With Revolutionary Girl Utena, should I start with the film or the serial? SRY to the rest for hijacking the thread for yuri purposes. ;)

A good point, Toad. However, even the stigma of having two dads isn't entirely unique. Even children of straight parents have to deal with other stigma both including and excluding their parents. Stay at home dads, parents with unglamourous jobs, financial situations. Kids'll pick anything to ridicule. Gay parents add just one more to the picking-on arsenal. It's how parents teach their kids to cope with such taunts that's the key.
EDIT: Mitchell,
Bleach is good. It has some yuri in it. Yoruichi is a lesbian.

Appleby, my final words to you on this point:
There is no evidence to support the belief that children are better off with straight parents than gay parents. There is no evidential difference. Sexuality of prospective parents is not an issue. If it was true in '95, why isn't it true now? What has changed? I can't find anything to dispute this. You can prefer all you like. I find your basis for this preference, which is, essentially, ignorance since you claim you don't know, extremely lacking in foundation.
Best of luck.

it was because I wasn't sure if there were any short or long term detrimental psychological effects on children in such adoptions
All of the research to date has reached the same unequivocal conclusion about gay parenting: the children of lesbian and gay parents grow up as successfully as the children of heterosexual parents. In fact, not a single study has found the children of lesbian or gay parents to be disadvantaged because of their parents' sexual orientation.
Right now there is a critical shortage of adoptive and foster parents in the United States. As a result, many children have no permanent homes, while others are forced to survive in an endless series of substandard foster homes. It is estimated that there are 500,000 children in foster care nationally, and 100,000 need to be adopted.
There's no male or female to assume the role of the father or mother and I THINK that makes a difference.
Myth: Children need a mother and a father to have proper male and female role models.
Fact: Children without homes have neither a mother nor a father as role models. And children get their role models from many places besides their parents. These include grandparents, aunts and uncles, teachers, friends, and neighbors. In a case-by-case evaluation, trained professionals can ensure that the child to be adopted or placed in foster care is moving into an environment with adequate role models of all types.

"In the ass Bob".
The guy holds up his sign: , it reads:
"In the car"
The host says:
"Uh ya, we were looking for a geographical location."

EDIT:
I'm with Quetz on this one. It's more logical to assume a fellow human is capable of altruistic behaviours because she's human, than to assume she can't be simply because she munches carpet. Does not compute.

Does colwyn have a right to limit my public uses of mustard because he finds it loathesome?
Can I hold hands with my mustard?
Can I cuddle in public with my mustard, maybe give it a serious smootch every once inwhile?
Like everybody seems to be allowed to do with that more common Ketschup?
Eh? Why do I have stay in the closet with my mustard eh?

Its the same act. Why is it disgusting in one instance and a fine heavenly act in another?

And in case you're wondering, I don't blow my own dick after fucking my girlfriend in the ass. And she doesn't have a dick.
Well let's say you knew a guy who liked the taste of his own shit. You might find that disgusting, despite the fact that he tastes it in the privacy of his own house.
Is this explicit enough an explanation for you?
In a similar way, I find the shoving of male penises into assholes of other men disgusting. Now if a blowjob ensued, I suppose it would be kind of like tasting another guy's shit (and liking it). This is now closer to the case above

Xavier Labbee, the husband's lawyer, denied that religion had anything to do with the verdict.
"The law says that when there is an error concerning essential qualities of one of the spouses, an annulment can be sought," he said on LCI television.
In Islam, Amar Lafsar said, "virginity is not a necessary condition for marriage". The religion preached chastity before marriage but Muslims could heed or ignore the message.
Badinter said the verdict ignored the fact some traditional Muslim families shunned sexually active single daughters.

So Sharon Stone thinks the Sichuan earthquake was caused not by friction between tectonic plates on the Longmenshan fault, but by Beijing being "not nice" to the Dalai Lama. Given that Tibet has been under Chinese rule since 1951, karmic retribution must have a 57-year time lag, but that didn't stop Stone musing on the seismic catastrophe: "I thought, 'Is that karma?' When you are not nice, bad things happen to you."
No wonder this weird loon wants his kingdom back - fawning, if famous, lackies and (always)four-star hotels in the west just don't measure up to the unadulterated adulation of the repressed population of your own private kingdom.
