101. Yes, it's a Hobbit. The debate that has divided science is solved at last (sort of)

Comment #72577 by konquererz on September 21, 2007 at 6:16 pm

Fools! All of you! Can't you see its just more fossil planted by the Evil Satan to steal your souls?!

Just thought I would get that one out of the way before it comes up.

Have they found the ring of power with this one?

102. Pentagon Sued Over Mandatory Christianity

Comment #72012 by konquererz on September 20, 2007 at 6:08 am

This country is just going nutz! I can't believe what I'm hearing around the christian world but there are actually backing the military! Talks of "christian nation" and other bullshit like that are just going like wild fire! Religious freedom my ass, its the "freedom" to be a christian around here! If this gets allowed in the military, ultimately by the supreme court, things are going to get bad real quick. Once the government has allowed religion to be imposed, the time of freedom is going to collapse. I feel great dread and sorrow over the future of this country. I fear for the free future of my children, and my childrens children.

103. The Bili Apes Are in Trouble!

Comment #71320 by konquererz on September 18, 2007 at 12:35 pm

I'm very pro-life, mostly my own! I'm not all for the asteroid, but what can you do? But we humans could be helping other species to not die because of us. Or we can believe its the "end times" and say screw them all!

104. State Senator Ernie Chambers Sues God

Comment #71318 by konquererz on September 18, 2007 at 12:29 pm

I think that Chambers is making a statement both about the legal system and about god. By suing god, he is exposing the silliness of the law suit system. By this same action, he is showing gods inability to act, thus questioning his very existence.

105. Airline sacrifices goats to appease sky god

Comment #70915 by konquererz on September 17, 2007 at 8:36 am

My parents once prayed over our car that wouldn't start and then it started up. Its kind of the same thing right? LMAO

Silly, nothing but silliness!

106. A Table for One

Comment #70911 by konquererz on September 17, 2007 at 8:31 am

This is absolutely hysterical! I haven't laughed this hard for a while.
"So a really nice atheist could be a saint?" Classic!

107. Do you have to read up on leprechology before disbelieving in them?

Comment #70909 by konquererz on September 17, 2007 at 8:24 am

After much consideration and studying the Bible and reading all the required atheist books, I have come to a decision. I am not an Atheist. Calm down, I'm not going god on the forum now!

I am not an atheist because I am an Anti-Theist. As already earlier stated, you need some theological training to be an anti-theist, you do not to be an atheist. But after a life time of theological study (at one point I was going to be a missionary) and five years of not believing, I can say I am not just a disbeliever, but I am against theism in general.

I did like Richards short sweet response in the Independent. Nothing else is needed. I have yet to read a book against Dawkins that displays the wit of someone who has actually read one of his books.

108. Good News: Both our Foundations are now Officially Recognized as Charities

Comment #70266 by konquererz on September 14, 2007 at 4:01 pm

Is it to much to think that atheists can actually change the world for the better? I hope so, I plan on giving to this charity as soon as I can.

109. Scientists' Good News: Earth May Survive Sun's Demise in 5 Billion Years

Comment #69961 by konquererz on September 13, 2007 at 10:41 am

I personally don't think humanity will be around here to care in 5 billion years. After all, that would be much much longer than any other species that had ever lived on this planet.

110. RELIGULOUS: A Conversation with Bill Maher and Larry Charles

Comment #69904 by konquererz on September 13, 2007 at 6:09 am

I could care less about Maher views on PETA. His views on religion, and often times politics, are dead on. I can't wait till this comes out.

111. Griffin's 'offensive' Emmy speech to be censored

Comment #69661 by konquererz on September 12, 2007 at 5:07 am

How exactly can this be classified as hate speech?

Hate speech is a controversial term for speech intended to degrade, intimidate, or incite violence or prejudicial action against a person or group of people based on their race, gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, language ability, moral or political views, socioeconomic class, occupation or appearance (such as height, weight, and hair color), mental capacity and any other distinction-liability.

What she used was a statement towards a person. She said nothing ABOUT Jesus at all. So it doesn't even qualify as hate speech. So The Catholic League can just SUCK IT!

And of course, Jesus had no input on this post. SUCK IT JESUS! HAHAHAHA! Thanks Kathy, that felt great!

112. Young Muslims begin dangerous fight for the right to abandon faith

Comment #69406 by konquererz on September 11, 2007 at 6:31 am

This is how it begins. The only question is can it be sustained? Initially there will be lots of "apostates" and "heretics" that will want to stand out (relatively speaking in Islamic numbers). The big thing to look for is when the inevitable push back from radical Islam comes, will they still stand after the smoke clears. I'm cheering for them. Islam needs to come into the modern era and out of the dark ages already.

113. A Virus Among Honeybees

Comment #69404 by konquererz on September 11, 2007 at 6:11 am

I hope they have found a cause so they can work on a cure. It would be fabulous if they were able to isolate the virus as the cause and beginning research ways to fight it. Theres no guarantees of course, but its a start.

114. Review of Richard Dawkins' new book 'The Fascism Delusion'

Comment #69305 by konquererz on September 10, 2007 at 12:43 pm

Love the satire. Hilarious and oh so telling. This made me laugh a couple times out loud.

115. 'Incredibly lucky' find yields important fish fossil

Comment #68818 by konquererz on September 8, 2007 at 7:18 pm

You know, this is really cool to read about. In fact, just today, my fundy parents found out that I believe in evolution. Its amazing, they ask how I can look at "creation" and not see a designer. I said because of evidence and proceeded to explain a bit in easy terms for new comers. She wouldn't even listen, she just laughed like I was the idiot for believing in such a thing! I felt, not foolish as she intended, but I was pissed off. God of the gaps my ass, god is a gap!

116. Cartoons from Evolution: a journal of nature 1927-1938

Comment #67390 by konquererz on September 3, 2007 at 8:01 am

Love the cartoons. We need more satire of the sacred in my opinion. Perhaps if people could see the silliness of their beliefs in a cartoon, they would start to be more embarrassed of what they are actually believing.

117. What do these atheists understand of religion?

Comment #67389 by konquererz on September 3, 2007 at 7:54 am

I take personal offense to the idea that atheists do not know what they are talking about. On the contrary, as a former fundy, I have found true wonder and amazement for the first time in my life. Comparing fundamental christianity with "fundamental atheism", its obvious which one to chose. One leads to abysmal and horrible acts. The other, to vast amounts of knowledge, wonder, and learning. Gee, which one should you pick? Don't tell me I don't know anything about god. What she hates is not that we "don't know" about god. She hates that we know about god and reason, and we chose reason. While she can't let go of the very thing she knows is so awfully flawed. She knows she just can't let go of her blind belief, and she is angry about it. She blames atheists.

118. Poll: Which religion do you associate with?

Comment #64899 by konquererz on August 22, 2007 at 8:40 am

120. Democratic Candidates on a Personal God

Comment #64455 by konquererz on August 20, 2007 at 5:46 am

I was so disappointed in this question. They pretty much just ignore the non-religious in all political debates assuming that everyone believes, not just in a god, but a personal god. Its disgusting and biased. I was most disappointed that the candidates all bowed down before god on the stage. Everyone but Gravel said that they believed in a personal god of some sorts. Most of them even said that they believe in the power of prayer. Gravel can't win, and he tends to be a bit over the top, but I respect a man who can stand up and say something that he had to know religious o's would dislike.

121. The Pentagon Sends Messengers of Apocalypse to Convert Soldiers in Iraq

Comment #64033 by konquererz on August 17, 2007 at 11:27 am

This is going to be very bad. Christians going over to Iraqi and actually saying its a "crusade" is as arrogant as it is ignorant! Things are about to get much worse for our troops I'm afraid. What evil the illusion of god has wrought.

122. Believe it or not: the sceptics beat God in bestseller battle

Comment #62978 by konquererz on August 12, 2007 at 6:00 pm

More bibles being sold? Go Richard!

My trek from fundamentalist christian to atheist started with Genesis 1:1. Asimov was correct, the bible is our biggest anti-theist tool. The more bibles the better.

Well, nothing new. I spent four years in private school, this is exactly how its put. I do like the parts where they teach the scientific method. Yeah, bet that gets tons of play from the teachers.

126. Don't vote for ignorance

Comment #61007 by konquererz on August 3, 2007 at 9:51 am

Right now in this country, the Republican party has pandered so much to the Christian right that people like my god fearing parents don't even know any of the democratic candidates except hilary clinton. Fact is, that these ignoramuses that stand up for creation are getting support from ridiculous right wing ignoramuses. We should be very worried that another republican could get in office again.

127. God Answers Prayers Of Paralyzed Little Boy: 'No' Says God

Comment #61004 by konquererz on August 3, 2007 at 9:46 am

Sure, god didn't let you die, that shows his kindness... Or, he did nothing and you were lucky. Of course, when you survive and have to have three 2 hour session of painful spinal fluid extraction a week, perhaps its not so lucky. Lucky boy, went from happy kid to miserable wretch for the rest of his life. What a nice god to let him live.

129. Ducking the God Question

Comment #60253 by konquererz on August 1, 2007 at 11:48 am

People are so worried about putting people off because they state the obvious conclusion. Maybe if people would have been more honest more often in the last century, then we wouldn't be here now.

130. The Out Campaign

Comment #59815 by konquererz on July 30, 2007 at 6:04 pm

First off, I have lived in Missouri most of my life, and now I live in Indiana, and Indiana is much much worse than Missouri. City officials have have this slogan going in their offices "god is great all the time". People look horrified when I explain exactly what my flying spaghetti monster t-shirt with the fork on a cross is about.

Whats even greater, is when I get asked my religion or what church I go to up here. It happens all the time. I put on my best friendly face and simply say, "I don't believe in invisible things" which usually gets a chuckle. Then they try to be cool about it and say something to the effect of "ha ha, like bigfoot and the lockness monster?" and I say "yeah, those too".

Its funny because religious people will always put themselves into those awkward thinking positions. However, I thought I would weigh in on the big red A thing. I have some issues with it, since it seems like the scarlet letter for adultary. And the whole "out" think seems to steal to much thunder from the gay pride movement, something worth coming out about in its own right.

But something is better than nothing, and if you don't like the ideas out there, why not start a new one yourself? After all, freedom is absolute, creativity embraced, and unity important. We still need to let the countless atheist wannabees know that its Okay to not believe and that there are others out there. Those of us born and raised christians know what its like to try and come out among religious peers, friends, and family, and I for one will not stand by and force others to come out all alone like I did. I took me months of actively looking to find others like minded as me in my area. I want to be supportive of someone elses choice to stop believing the lie.

131. Fewer Muslims 'back suicide bombs'

Comment #58840 by konquererz on July 26, 2007 at 11:14 am

Perhaps we should have a survey to find out what percentage of westerners support killing half a million Iraqis to steal their oil.

SNAP!!!!

Of course, about 30% are okay with sacrificing our soldiers lives for an illegal war.

This is ludicrous. We are giving praise because less people now think its okay to blow yourself up to kill someone who doesn't believe like you? We should be saying in one voice "What the fuck is wrong with you people!" 0% is the only acceptable amount of people who think this is okay. Sure you will always have crazies, but a lower percent is a low percent to much! No matter how low the percentage is, its not better when there are still lots of crazy people who are okay with suicide bombings!

132. Reporter's Religion Beat Leads to Faith Crisis

Comment #58838 by konquererz on July 26, 2007 at 11:10 am

What a wonderful story of de-conversion! Its amazing, for atheists who where first Christians, its the consumption of knowledge that leads us out of the darkness. I encourage all Christians to read the bible and study on their own, it only leads one place, to the entrance of the dark cave you are in!

133. The hitch in Hitchens' thinking

Comment #58837 by konquererz on July 26, 2007 at 11:06 am

I think this guy needs to read "Breaking the Spell". Dennett clearly and concisely shows how there cannot be the concept that "god is a verb" or that "we are all god" because the entire born concept of god simply falls apart. And if there was a god, he or it wouldn't appreciate being lumped in with everything else. And if god is a verb or essence, then it can't be an object of worship or veneration.

Lucky, not many people actually think that way, and Hedges is retarded. The fact of the matter is that one need not be versed in religion (though I personally am since I was a fundy) to see that it is mindless drivel. As well, he mistakes, philosophy and psychology for religion several times. All such things can be dealt with and looked at through the eyes of reason. As well, he should not that through the eyes of reason, things cease being "religious" and "spiritual" because those experiences can be explained scientifically as well.

Perhaps, if Hedges were more versed in the way of thinking through reason and intelligence he would understand this instead of proceeding to tell us all why Hitchens doesn't know what he is talking about. Its amazing, religionists are always willing to tell us how much we don't know since we aren't versed in religion when few or none of the religionists have any clue what its like to think outside of "faith" and reason for themselves!

134. Must the US president believe in God?

Comment #57662 by konquererz on July 20, 2007 at 1:27 pm

No person will be elected president if they don't profess belief in god or a higher power. In the United States, the words "liberal" "skeptic" and "humanist" are dirty evil words. My parents will label any non-christian/non-republican a liberal or a humanists like its some sort of horrible thing.

Some how, some way, people have to come out of this religious fog they are living in and see that free thinking skepticism and the idea that humanity should be the ones trying to help humanity are good, honorable, and beneficial traits and ideas. Until then, we will never had a president that doesn't believe in god.

135. Why I Believe Anti-Evangelism Is Wrong

Comment #57604 by konquererz on July 20, 2007 at 6:06 am

Its high time that people like the one who wrote this article wake up and realize that atheists have been taking this approach for decades! What has it gotten us? No where thats where. Its allowed more religious schools opened, more end time believers, more desire and attempts to put biblical creation in the science class room, and allow the Office of Faith Based Initiatives to be created in the United States government!

Wake up dude, this isn't a game where live and let live actually works. In the real world, if we don't stand up for reason, and try to get others to see reason, then this will become a theocracy! Sure, true believers won't have their minds changed, but some will, and those people are the ones we have to win over. We need more people to see things through the eyes of reason.

For him to wish to go back to the way it was shows that he is completely out of touch with reality. And btw, it is absolutely the job of people to tell others when their belief in something that is impossible begins to intrude on everyone else's lives. Its not like we have people just minding their own business and along come the big bad atheists to ruin their beliefs. They jump in and try to enforce their beliefs on us first. We have to shine the light of reason or we will be in another dark age.

136. Before the New Atheists: Confessions of a Lonely Atheist

Comment #56529 by konquererz on July 16, 2007 at 6:17 am

Wow, definitely an article ahead of its time. But she is right, it is lonely being an atheist most of the time. For me, there really isn't any one that is even willing to openly discuss religion around me.

137. Hitler Was an Atheist Who Killed Millions in the Name of Atheism, Secularism?

Comment #56522 by konquererz on July 16, 2007 at 5:36 am

Hitler was a bad man. Perhaps he was a Christian, perhaps it was merely a political piece of crap, but does that really matter? All that lends itself to is that Hitler did what any other politician does even today, use what ever is popular to gain supporters.

It really doesn't matter if he was an atheist or a Christian. But once we are getting down to it, the very evidence that he had to kill Jews shows that he believed that they were an evil people. Jews have been the target of Christians for nearly 2,000 years because they are "Christ killers". Its hard to imagine any other reason that they would particularly be singled out as the bad ones making society bad.

However, he didn't just kill Jews, and he didn't kill people just for their religion, and he didn't kill people because they believe or aren't secular enough. He killed people in the name of a master race, which ultimately has nothing to do with Atheistic "principles" at all. Power and control are its own motivation.

Ultimately, even those evil men that sparked evil in the name of religion got seduced by the same thing as Lenin, Hitler, and Mao. Power. Power and control are their own rewards and the ends to any mean if you want it enough. Thus, even if Hitler was a Christian, it is not likely that he killed only based on religion. Religion merely makes thinks worse.

Religion has become mostly a vehicle to channel that power lust through, a vehicle by which you can control people. If you don't have religion, you have to use something else, something else that can spark as much fear as religion can. That is usually death, such as killing jews, or killing the people, secret police and the like. One way or another, its about power, and gaining control through fear.

Hitler was no different, and had religion not existed, some other form would have been used. However, if you take religion out of the equation, then everyone knows how to react to it. Everyone knows they are being oppressed and beaten down. If you factor in religion, then people start thinking that the oppression and fear being imposed are actually good for them or Gods will. Thats what makes religion so dangerous, it gives people the false premise that its okay and a justification for whats been done.

Everyone knew what Hitler did was wrong (except the catholic church). Everyone knew that Lenin and Stalin were oppressive dictators. Everyone knew that Mao's atrocities were horrid. But what stopped people from being outraged during the Crusades, or the Inquisition? In the name of god has a powerful ring to it that allows the people to back what atrocities are being done. If you take out religion, then there would have been a rebellion over the inquisition. The very fact that its in the name of religion makes it justifiable.

So you see, whether or not Hitler was a Christian or not doesn't really matter. It was the same motivator, without the singular justification of religion to back up his actions. Had Lenin, Mao, and Hitler did what they did in the name of religion or god with some form of justification, then there wouldn't have been the mass surge in the world against them. Religion clouds the boundaries of good and evil, and makes people question whether something is right or ordained.

138. Found: the giant lion-eating chimps of the magic forest

Comment #56369 by konquererz on July 15, 2007 at 10:23 am

I seems a little fishy to me as well. I like the general premise of the story, it seems easy enough to verify if the people exist. But I wasn't aware that there were lions in the deep congo. I would be nice to see some photo's or some kind of scientific journal or other reputable report.

139. American Taliban on the warpath against evolution

Comment #56368 by konquererz on July 15, 2007 at 10:14 am

Let me off the crazy train please. The world has gone mad. How do we stop this insanity? Religion is not progressing forwards, its falling backwards into the dark ages all over again. To be sure, many would like to bring back the inquisition if they could. This is out of control, is there not anyone willing to stand up and preach their own scripture against them?

140. The Republican War on Science Rages On

Comment #56009 by konquererz on July 13, 2007 at 8:11 am

Problem is that what is being done is causing irreparable harm in this country. Abstinence only education doesn't work, its been proven in study after study. It facilitates ignorance and thus contributes to more pregnancy and more spread of disease that teaching real sex education, and the statistics back that up 100%.

Global warming has mountains of evidence, yet nearly 65% of Americans don't believe that its even happening at all. Then, take the 35% remaining and most of them don't believe its human related or effected in any way. All the anti-global warming propaganda is ludicrous but it works because people aren't smart enough to read for themselves or see through the lies.

For the Bush administration, Science is a faith, its a faith they don't hold. Empirical evidence is merely a belief system. This type of ridiculous ideology is killing our minds in this country. He his a religious nut bag and he lets it govern him and this country!

Message to Bush:

GOD DOESN'T EXIST ANY MORE THAN YOU INTELLECT! AND LIKE YOUR INTELLECT, HE IS JUST A FIGMENT OF YOUR IMAGINATION, A MADE UP FAIRY TALE! YOU IDIOT!

141. The US map of faith

Comment #55738 by konquererz on July 12, 2007 at 6:12 am

This map is interesting, but I don't feel that it is accurate for our current time period. I live in Indiana, and it is mostly on the "less religious" color parts of the map. Problem is that this state is so bass ackwards religious its not funny.

Radio stations constantly make fun of gays, city officials keep signs up that say "god is great all the time" up every where. I have only met any atheists through the brand new Indiana Center For Inquiry. I don't know any near me personally. All my neighbors are religious and go to church. I hear gospel music on my left side pumping and some wacky Christian station from the neighbors on my right. So honestly, I don't see it.

But I guess we are lucky, we did manage to stave off the banning of gay marriage and other such religious laws they have tried to pass in the last couple years before I moved here. I'm going to move to Oregon, I swear!

142. Neutral evolution has helped shape our genome

Comment #55160 by konquererz on July 10, 2007 at 6:21 am

I have heard the idea before that it would be entirely possible to pass on and sustain an un-beneficial change if the mutation were not detrimental enough to cause the animal to die off. Thus, neutral or slightly negative changes could actually hang around for long periods of time or even become part of the dna structure permanently. These studies appear to show that very idea. But I'm sure creationists are going to a have a field day with this one. "See, its not exactly like you thought!" I personally think its a create break through in science and evolutionary discovery.

143. A force for good?

Comment #55156 by konquererz on July 10, 2007 at 6:14 am

These quotes are in no particular order.
But each drew from me a strong response.

There is a coherent social vision running through the Old and New Testament, focused on a God who demands justice, who takes the side of the poor and the marginalized, and who calls for a radical new understanding of human love, commitment and responsibility. That informs how I behave and treat other people.

Oh yes, I remember that part in the bible! Thats the one where god went to kill moses and a lady put foreskin on his feet to save him. No wait, it was when god told his people to kill every man, woman, child, and animal except the young virgins they could keep for themselves. No wait, it was when Jesus told his disciples to bring forth those who don't believe in him and slay them in front of him. No wait, its the entire god damn idea of hell thats is all about taking care of the poor! Read your bible Valley or shut the hell up about what the bible says!

Faith isn't just good for some individuals. It is good for society.

Tell me again why believing without evidence is good for society?

I've seen examples all over the world. People of faith are the first in many difficult situations and they are usually the last to leave.

He should at least name one. In fact, name one in which evangelism wasn't the primary goal of them going there. It needs to be one in which they went for no other reason than to help the people because they needed help!

For every one of the grand tragedies provoked by religion there are 10,000 acts of personal kindness and social good that go unreported,

Thats true of every good act though. When was the last time any humanist organization's good deeds were reported? Any atheists good deeds reported on TV or radio? None, so thats a bullshit argument.

Simon Chase Said:
That's because the perpetrators of religious violence are screaming "In God's name!" as they slay their victims. I'd love to hear those who apparently kill in the name of science screaming "Kepler's third law of planetary motion!!!"

This was so funny that I almost cried envisioning Pol Pot runny through the forest with a machine gun yelling this in his native tongue!

God is not an "invisible being" who "commands, rewards or punishes.

Yes he is, its in the bible if he would read it.

Critics of religion get stuck somewhere between the infantile and adolescent stages.

Right, the ones who ask the progressive questions are infantile while the ones who believe something because they are told are the real advanced philosophers. Valley, you are an idiot who doesn't understand shit.

By which he really means he wasn't a fundamentalist. Most believers aren't.

He is so far out of touch its not funny. Take a walk down the street of any major US city. Stop any person on the street you see. Ask them if they believe in the literal interpretation of genesis. Ask them if they believe Jesus is going to come back at the end of the world which is coming soon. Ask them if people who don't accept Jesus as their savior will burn in hell forever. 8 out of every 10 people you talk to will tell you yes to 1 if not all of these questions. That is text book fundamentalism. Maybe its not that rampant in the UK, but in the US, its all we know.

I think I like the way you finished off that sentence better than A.C. Grayling did. And its a perfect summary of ideology.

Grayling does to a spectacular job of making the point that religion does more overall harm than good. And that people do not need religion to do good things, and in fact, would likely do more good things without religion to hold them back.

There isn't anything that religion can't taint, tarnish, or poison is there? Its infuriating to see people killing in the name of religion or anything else, but especially religion. I was once told by a teacher that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. He obviously heard it from someone else as well, and I think that saying goes make a long time. But the saying is absolutely true! I hear religious people stating that "all religions and all people in a religion aren't bad, some religion does some good some of the time". Well, thats really not good enough. Religion is only as strong as its weakest link. The link that thinks killing people in the name of god is the weakest link, creating a burden on society, much more so than it helps society.

In the end, nothing will help humanity more that discovery and invention. Even things that are bad for us at first, we can ultimately turn into a good. Its the evolution of humanity, even cultural evolution, that has shown time and again that human advancement is a good thing. But time and time again someone speaks out against progress and advancement that something bad will happen. No it won't. The world will continue on like it always has, finding ways to adapt to the world around it. What it really boils down to is fear of change. The idea that change of this magnitude will be bad simply because its change. The fact it that history paints a different picture. change drives civilizations to be better and to adapt to live better.

147. Ten Politically Incorrect Truths About Human Nature

Obviously this article is lacking evidence of these claims, so they must all be taken as and interesting read but hardly soundly proven facts.

The surprising answer is that Muslim suicide bombing has nothing to do with Islam or the Quran (except for two lines)

He hasn't read the whole Koran or the Hadith. Scriptures that can be interpreted into violence are spread through out.

Ben Kington
Compare to China, where there are many more frustrated, mateless males (due to female infanticide skewing the gender proportions) and no suicide bombers.

Well, problem is that there is no religion in China that rewards you with sex after you die. So the same principle wouldn't apply. Islam rewards you with virgins so martyrdom would be a solution to a sexless religious man.

Ben Kington
I'm fairly certain that some cultures - perhaps in Asia? - currently or in the past have preferred small (though still big enough to evince puberty) breasted women but I could be wrong on this point.

Just watch Japanese and Korean cartoons and read their comics. Almost all asia anime contains big breasted, long legged, blond (or blue or green or ping) haired women who put out. Whats odd is that in the same area, they seem to show great fondness for child like women (or female children) as well as torture, bondage, and rape of women. But to say theu prefer small breasted women is completely incorrect. Their "art" reflects their desires, and thats large breasted women.

Ben Kington
One more complaint (though I found other things wrong with the article, too): polygamy is not good for women. More important than having the best genes from a male partner (unless you're relegated to the absolute bottom of the barrel, gene wise,) is having assistance raising the child.

In our history, the male has rarely taken a huge role in raising children. What is most commonly seen is looking for a man with good looks, good physical condition, secure job, and good money. Polygamy can be beneficial for women if many women can get with a man that looks good and makes good money. Its the future of their offspring and the quality of their offspring that really steadies this claim. Many women going towards a good looking man with the resources to support her makes much more sense that a woman looking for a man who will give her more help in raising the child. Better and stronger offspring, security of the future for her and her offspring, these make this part of the article most likely in my opinion. It follows all the basics that we actually know by watching people.

This article has allot of flaws, but it lends a good amount of discussion material. I think to simply dismiss it is to miss a grand opportunity to speak about issues like this and get past the "politically correct" crap that prevents open discussion about these topics.

148. Sean Hannity with Christopher Hitchens

This interview will come off as another victory for the Christian right to fox viewers. My parents definitely view this as another shut down of an arrogant ignorant atheist by a fox news retard.

And the problem with the "infinite regression" of evolution and the creation of the universe is this. When you argue with true believing fundamentalists you get an argument you simply cannot win. And that argument goes something like this:

Fundy: If the big bang started it, what made the big bang?
Atheist: Obviously we don't know for sure, we have theories, but we weren't there.
Fundy: AH HA! See, it had to be god since you don't know the answer!
Atheist: But then what came before god, what created god?
Fundy: Nothing, in the beginning was just god. God always was, always has been, and always will be. He was never created, or he wouldn't be god!
Atheist: Well that makes zero sense. How can someone have no beginning when everything we know about life says it had a beginning somewhere?
Fundy: No one knows the mysteries of god. You just have to have faith. When we get to heaven, we will know all the answers!
Atheist: Your as loony as they come you know!
Fundy: Thats why I'm going to heaven and your going to burn in torment for an eternity that I can't comprehend while I laugh at you. Your an arrogant wicked man for thinking you know the answer to the god question when its obvious that someone as humble as myself has all the answers.

You can't win this argument when people are willing to simply stop the regress and accept what ever the hell they want to believe on faith and zero evidence. Thats like trying to win an argument with a retarded person. You get no where and in the end, you look like the bully.

"You have to weigh things with your intellect but put it through the filter of your faith. That's what I'm trying to do right now."

What an absolutely horrid idea! Weigh things with your mind, then run them through what you believe despite the evidence. What an absolute moron!

Dr. Benway Said:
But the notion of getting rid of the income tax seems nuts.

http://www.fairtax.org/site/PageServer?pagename=about_main

You need to check out this site. The idea of getting rid of income tax is only spoken in line with the "Fair Tax" program that is already in a bill in the congress. It bring in more money, reduces paper work and accounting work for the government and companies, and allows the tax to naturally fall where it should. Read through it, its actually a great idea.

As for candidates, this is fabulous. I have been steering my christian parents and friends towards John Cox, a true born-again christian who doesn't stand a chance. I think that in fighting above the faithful makes for good television!

Thats silly, we aren't taking shots at christians, we are taking shots at religion in general, christianity is just the big dog in the western world. And lets not forget, christianity has simply evolved from the crusades, while Islam hasn't evolved past tribal like customs and beliefs.

But further, there are a growing number of christians who are actively working towards a theocracy. Not the "our forefathers were christians" type, the "we will make this country to be under gods law!" type. You just don't hear about them. There are plenty who are ready and willing to die for the "cause of christ" and they aren't put on TV. I was one of them, even in grade school. They think that christians are persecuted in the western world as well as abroad. They think the end time is upon us and plan on suffering a terrible death of torture and beheading in the coming tribulation.

They work behind the scenes to ensure that Israel keeps up their actions and that Israel gets supported and the Palestinians get the boot. They fight for christian judges, christian candidates, and christian presidents. The difference between these crazy muslims and the crazy christians is the method they use to exert their influence. The goal is ultimately the same. And in a way, what christians are doing, because its secret and not "in your face", its more dangerous.

Sure, maybe there aren't as many "psychokillers" but you don't have to kill to be dangerous to our future and our children. At least with the killers, we know who the bad guy is and have the ability to kill him first.
