101. Response to Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris

Did this guy even read RD's book or Harris's book? Thanks for the diatribe on animals. Moron

102. An apology to Peter Kay

Comment #25132 by ksskidude on March 10, 2007 at 9:40 am

Richard,

I think its great that you participate in this forum. It makes me, and hopefully the rest of us feel more connected to you. Damn it now I sound like my wife! But its true. I enjoy knowing that just maybe RD might read what I have to write about, and maybe one day will respond. Thanks Richard for giving me more knowledge about the world in which I live.

I am positive that if this turns out to be indeed true, Christians all over the world will unite in defiance of this finding. If one thing has become apparent to me, its that believers don't care what evidence there is to the contrary.

104. Richard Dawkins interview with Paula Zahn

Comment #22169 by ksskidude on February 13, 2007 at 5:58 am

I enjoyed last night, but was still left wishing Dawkins would have pushed Zahn to answer the question concerning Zeus and Thor. Time and time again believers are left scratching their heads when posed with this question. They have no answer as usual. What's worse is they can't ever seem to understand the logic of it.

Why didn't Ellen cahllenge the Rev when he called atheist's hypocrites? What exactly was he referring too? That we are hypocrites because we want fair treatment under the law? He is another example of an uneducated nitwit, who has probably only ever read the bible as any source of knowledge.

We all need to write more emails, we need Dawkins and Harris and Dennett to be on TV more. Lets keep up the push on irrational beliefs!!!

105. My critics are wrong to call me dogmatic

Comment #21991 by ksskidude on February 12, 2007 at 5:13 am

Richard,

The reason McGrath isn't concerned with all those other religions is, well as my friend would put it, "they're all wrong!"
Yes as my friend utters those idiotic words with resounding confidence, I merely look at him with amusement. The funny thing thing is, he thinks I'm a little pathetic, and asked me to just stop reading Dawkins and Harris. To just emmerse myself with the "truth" and I will have a much clearer picture. I told him that is nonsense, and then challenged him to do the same. Stop reading about magic and fairy tales, and only read Dawkins, Harris, Dennett,etc.....

I look forward to tonight, and please let CNN have it for us!!!! I feel proud to say that I am a fan of yours and proud to be an atheist!!!

106. Panel discussion on atheism where no atheists are included

Comment #21175 by ksskidude on February 7, 2007 at 10:04 pm

I just got home at 1130pm and came straight here only to find out that our email responses to CNN has indeed worked and Dawkins will be speaking with Paula Zahn tomorrow night. This is huge for our cause and it should tell each and everyone of us to write more letters. Write more op-eds. We must be brave and step out like Dawkins and Harris.

My email to professorhunter@aol.com

Karen,

After watching your unintelligent rant on Paula Zahn I felt the need to email you. The first word that comes to mind is bigot and then intolerant. One would think that a so-called educated woman would understand that in a country where intolerance has been a staple, she would not tolerate it. How can you tell someone of a different view point to shut up? You were very lucky that CNN is as bigoted as you are, and had no atheistic viewpoint. If they had, your beliefs would have been shown to be childish, superstitious and delusional. The simple fact that you believe in something for which there is absolutely no empirical evidence is an indicator of your intelligence. Which you displayed so proudly. Karen can you prove your God exists? Are you telling the nation that the only reason people are moral is because they believe in God? If so that is ridiculous, and more of an indicator of your lack of intelligence. I am just appalled at your behavior!

Joe

108. Panel discussion on atheism where no atheists are included

I have had a couple of hours to sit and ponder, and I am still angered by this so called panel. I spent the day in a MO court room watching a hearing once again whether of not the cloning of human cells through a process called SCNT, is the cloning of a human being. The only real oppostion comes from people of faith, and not people of science or reason.
As an atheist I am so frustrated, because I want to speak out on how ridiculous quoting scripture is when contemplating the benefits of embryonic stem cell research. Yet do not voice my atheistic opinion for fear of motivating the ignorant masses of delusioned believers. Can you see what the opponents will say, "See Atheist believe in embryonic stem cell research, therfore it must be immoral."
I am geting sick and tired of people like these bigots on this broadcast.

How awful! How can CNN air such a biased report? Where was Dawkins, Harris? They would have been the voice of reason.
Please email CNN and let them know how terrible it was!

111. Taking the fight to Islam

Comment #20622 by ksskidude on February 5, 2007 at 6:55 am

Wow, what is going on with our world! It saddens me that that the human race is still so behind when it comes to the evolution of the mind. How sad that a women who is just speaking her mind and telling what she endured, has to fear for her life. If there are any Muslims on this forum, what say you? What is your religions problem?

Its time to let go of your superstitious beliefs, or at the very least, keep it to yourselves. If what you say is the truth, we infidels will surley suffer in the next life. But since you can not even come close to proving what you say to be true, SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!

112. Root of All Evil? Discussion

Comment #20423 by ksskidude on February 2, 2007 at 10:17 am

Why doesn't Professor Dawkins speak up more when people use Einstein as theological reference and explain Einsteinian religion and what it entails?

Like many of you, I find myself frustrated when watching, but can't seem to stop watching. What is great for me, is being actively aware of the evolution of the human mind away from beliefs in the supernatural. Slowly but surely deities are dying out. In another 1000 years or so, those people will look back at our history and laugh at what the masses of people in this time still believed with all the evidence otherwise.

114. Atheist Outreach: Group Coaxes Unbelievers Into the Open

Comment #17869 by ksskidude on January 17, 2007 at 5:43 am

Well I live in MO but on the KS border and wish we had a group that I could go and speak with. I would sign up, not because I feel the need to be social, but rather to vent my frustrations with like minded people. People who think like we do are hard to find in my area, as is the case in most area's of this country. But its time for our kind to be more vocal. Not to spread our gospel, but rather spread our facts, our science, our understanding of this world.

Why do this? Because enough is enough, aren't we tired of living with people who are delusional? Aren't we tired yet of people claiming that they are some chosen one by God? 'I scored the touchdown because God wanted ME to score, and gave ME the ability, and the talents that I have."

I am sick of it!

115. Readers Write: Atheist Sam Harris on Torture and Faith

Comment #17061 by ksskidude on January 10, 2007 at 2:14 pm

Can Harris or Dawkins ever truly be surprised when their books are taken out of context? The entire community of believers take their own books out context and fail miserably at seeing what is incorrect.
