What is more sacred than truth and its pursuit?
Fear of the unknown is what Mark Vernon is contemplating which is pretty sick. I could have pity on his ilk except they enjoy their fears and cling to them desperately. It would be (more) laughable if there were not so many of them.

Just clicking the above mms links won't work for everyone so including the originating HTTP URL would help. I couldn't find any links to the streams on Wisconsin Eye or the Freedom From Religion Foundation Web sites.
On my Mac these Micro$oft mms protocol video streams work fine in VLC, MediaStreamClip, or QuickTime (with the free Flip4Mac plug-in). Depending how they are set up, you may have to copy & paste the mms links into them.
In addition these are really long, the first one is over two hours and has ten seconds of black before it starts

Do you drive to work or take your lunch?
(I can't answer that either!)

Comment #59692 by Henri Bergson…I'm surprised by the cowardice in the US.
Have you lived in an evangelical dominate area of the United States long enough to qualify this charge?
Henri Bergson… Perhaps the reason religion has taken such a stronghold in your nation is the cowardice of atheists. In such a case, you should recover your losses by being vocal (but not sheep).
What would you know about it? -- Yes, son, I am being rhetorical. This is just more of the pseudo-intellectual bullshit I have read you post throughout this thread. At first I was offended by being called a coward, then I realized what a bug-wit you were making of yourself and it passed.

To those responsible for the shirt's design, good work! The font size of the typeface makes it particularly striking and Zapfino was an excellent choice. I am anxious to get mine and wear it before the summer wears out.
To those who hate the idea, you do not know what it is like to live smack on the buckle of the bible belt. If you did I know you would not have made such ignorant remarks. It might have been insulting otherwise.

Jedi mind control…plu-ease.
How does this fit comfortably with skepticism? Sorry, but I fail to see it.
Even if he does claim to promote questioning what you see and hear, the distance viewing was done way too seriously and with no relief. Right or wrong it turned me off to what might have followed as I stopped watching after that. It was way too John Edwards-ish for my taste.
Even with his disclaimer, too many bug-wits in my part of the U.S. would see it as mystical nonetheless -- sadly enough.

Mormons do believe in an evolving god that lives physically on another planet.
Just thought I would toss that out for the sake of discussion, certainly not to promote LDS as a rational belief because it is not. Having an evolving god does make for a more realistic mythology though.

Suppose the unfortunate has no teeth. Does this mean that dentures will be provided? Or will the victim receive a brand new set of teeth upon entering Hell, the better to satisfy the Almighty's prescribed amount of "gnashing"?

Their honest display of truth is exactly what drew my attention to Dawkins, Harris, and the rest of the so-called "militant' atheists in the first place. I suspect that there are many more like myself who are finally hearing a voice put to what they have thought all along. The importance of this cannot be overstated, especially if your environment is filled with the likes of Oral Roberts, Billy Graham, Falwell, Hagee, Robertson and so forth.
Folks like Epstein might not be so quick to judge if they were raised or even lived south of Mason-Dixon.

As vile and deplorable as this religiosity is, it does serve towards its self destruction. Somebody somewhere will have their eyes opened and begin thinking because of these cretins - at least one can hope!
Two of his daughters are lawyers and they haven't skipped a hateful beat because of it. As funny as it most certainly would be to
drag him into court I don't think it would phase ol' Pop a bit. In fact he would find glory in it whatever the outcome as maniacally stupid as he is.

I don't think these have ever aired here in the US - PBS - so I'm truly anxious to get my copy.
My Father just turned 81 and has curiously started to 'believe' in evolution over the past couple of years. This after a lifetime of believing science would eventually concede to biblical teaching. Having been raised a sharecropper's son in Oklahoma during the depression, he didn't get beyond a tenth grade education. This series of lectures sound perfect for him and I know I am going to enjoy watching them with him.
And I now know what to give for a gifts this year!

People negate the sacredness of mythology when they believe it to be true.
