I think you misspelled the president of Irans name. ;)

Also on topic. It turns out that even Mccain is anti-science.(we already knew Palin is) Put the two together and we will have zero research money.

Again, I want to restate that less money will be given to research, environmental protection, and alternative energy research under Mccain-Palin.

I didn't say that. That was someone else. Also, you addressed me earlier on this page with someone elses quote. Can you change that please. I think it was r2s.

Yeah, it turns out they are both H. Sapiens.

You have got to be kidding me. Mccain is so deperate he had her DNA analyzed to see if she was related to anyone famous.

I love messing with DP, he is my favorite.

All kidding aside, I was not defending Ayers behaviors in the past in any way. It seems obvious that this is a smear campaign and that the relationship between Ayers and Obama was not very significant. Many people in Chicago politics have worked with him and he seems harmless now.

Also, I never said Obama is perfect, or as DP continues to put it, "the messiah". I just think he is much better than Mccain-Palin, period.

Comment #262566 by righton on October 8, 2008 at 11:07 pm

DP,

First of all, stop calling Obama a terrorist.

Second, The relationships are being overplayed. You can list all the terrible things these people did and it wont matter because he was not friends with them. He had to work with them because they were both into Chicago politics and this is an obvious, eleventh hour, smear campaign by Mccain-Palin.

Third, stop calling Obama a terrorist, he is not a terrorist.

Comment #262561 by righton on October 8, 2008 at 10:57 pm

Hey DP,

Answer this question.

Was Bill Ayers ever convicted of being a terrorist?

220. Palin: average isn't good enough

Comment #262557 by righton on October 8, 2008 at 10:53 pm

Again, they were both chicago politicians, of course they had to work together on some issues, big fucking deal. Ayers is now respected in Chicago, he is reformed. This is a smear campaign and a non-issue.

Unlike firing a state trooper for personal reasons.

Comment #262555 by righton on October 8, 2008 at 10:50 pm

Yeah but you cannot blame Obama for the bombings DP. He didnt't do that and he is not a terrorist so stop saying he is.

222. Palin: average isn't good enough

Comment #262551 by righton on October 8, 2008 at 10:46 pm

Yeah so what.

The link between Ayers and Obama is being overplayed by Mccain-Palin and the media. Same thing with these other so-called radical groups that Obama was so-called best buddies with. Nice to throw Chavez and Putin in there, is Obama best buddies with them too?

At least he didn't ban any books.

Bottom line is Obama is not watching the doomsday clock like Palin. New energy technologies will be discovered and research will be well funded.

This is a non-issue once again. Bill Ayers is a prominent political figure in Chicago. Barack Obama was also in politics in Chicago, of course they would cross paths. Do you think they were planning terrorist attacks together or were they just working together to fund educational organizations. What about the funding was bad?

Still it is the mindset that scares me. She wouldnt cut off all research but it may not be as big of a priority to her because of her views, so less money would be going to research.

What she did in Alaska cannot show her views or tendancies on funding research so that is irrelevant. Did she fund any research as governor of Alaska?

Some of these are a bit extreme but I wouldnt put it past her. The thing I worry about is how her mindset will effect decisions she will make on energy and research. If the world is going to end soon then we can just drill for the time being until Jebus arrives. Also, why waste money on research when new energy sources and cures for diseases like cancer, AIDS, and alzheimers will not be ready for years, surely Jebus will come by then. It's a general lack of planning for the future that scares me the most. These ARE issues she would have a say in.

I find it funny that you think the media is a giant conspiracy against your views. Maybe they arent covering these stories because they are not really relevant and are just smear campaigns designed by the Mccain campaign. Similar to the smear camaigns that you allege are going on with the "troopergate" investigation.

It is not weird since we know for fact that he graduated top 10 in his class. This is fact. It is not customary for presidential candidates to release their school transcripts. Mccain hasn't. I do not find it weird.

Did a little research on the Harvard website for you. Magna cum laude at Harvad means you graduated in the top 10% of your class.

Comment #261919 by righton on October 7, 2008 at 4:13 pm

It is public knowledge when you graduate with the distinction of magna cum laude, It is printed on the graduation handouts and you recieve a special award during graduation. Are you saying that Harvard is in on a conspiracy to show that Obama is smarter than he really is?

"Also, what were Obama's grades? "

He graduated, magna cum Laude which means with great honor, which means very high grade point average. All colleges are different but I am assuming Harvard does not give magna cum laude to everyone. Graduating with just honors is called cum laude. Obama graduated with magna cum laude = great honor.

Nice try though.

"Thaat doesn't give people the right to gang up on him and ignore the gist of his arguments."

Did you start from the beginning?

Do you agree that graduating from Columbia and Harvard law with honors gives NO indication of a persons intellect? Do you agree that this also does not make someone more qualified at all to be president or VP when comparing it to someone who went to Idaho State University (and three other really bad colleges) and just got a bachelors degree? Do you think that teaching law at Chicago University for twelve years does not count for anything when making an assessment of someones intellect or capabilities. DP argued that none of these things matter at all when assessing Obamas credentials, capabilities or intellect.

What do you think? Does education not matter at all to you?
