Mordy,

Good idea. Even better we should try to call in and ask the questions.

No, on second thought, wait for the full story.

[cheers] whoo-hoo!

I hear Dachau is nice this time of year.

The concentration camp? Not sure I get the joke-oh wait nevermind, yes I do. Now that I rethink it within the context [chuckles] Nice.

Laurie,

Spot on with the tech remark. "Now go to the start button-it's at the bottom left hand corner of your screen.....When you find it click on it.."

Sorry if that sounded harsh, I didn't mean it that way.

[shoots mordy a mixed look of amusment, bewilderment, and disbelief]

Mordy,

Yup, been a rather boring day. Threads have been openly going off of topic with no fear of punishment from the nazis.

Why so many problems with your computer?

Yeah, Mord - time to derail a thread?

Let it be known that since that question has been asked, this thread is officially being derailed.

Well after the visit during your crook back experience I'm sure they have you on a list of people to avoid.

Something productive.... like playing on forums and facebook?

Hey I didn't say productive in an entirely good way, and you don't know what I am doing outside of that. I'm a super multi-tasker. I fully realise that I'm awake so much I spread out what normal people do in a short period of time over a much longer period of time. I always have extra time I am left drumming my fingers and could be sleeping BUT like I said it makes me feel anxious.

It's weird I guess

Besides I'm on vacation.

:)

Goldy,

Yes I've noticed a lot of people are like that. Sometimes I feel that my body naturally produces benzoylmethyl ecgonine.

Especially when sometimes, I feel that I actually have to suck it up and sleep 8-9 hours. Which is what I would refer to as "crashing".

Comment #237067 by thewhitepearl on August 25, 2008 at 9:21 pm

Goldy,

It's after 11 pm where I live and 10 pm where I'm located. No matter any way I hardly sleep. When I sleep I get anxious and feel guilty because I feel that I could be doing something productive.

I skate by on just enough sleep to keep me alive.

What? Yikes well that simply isn't true as previous discussions will show. I pretty much can't stand "feminists".

I'm sorry I thought that you were paying attention to the thread yesterday. Apparently I was wrong.

I deal with on a daily basis get their information from sound bites on fox news or some other "news source". .

I overheard my grandfather giving advice to one of his friends about an online news site. Started with a "p" from what he was sourcing as information from that site it sounds more like an excuse to feed consipracy theorists. I promptly dismissed it when he once told me to visit it for proof of obama's muslim ties.

Any way, I think I might like to venture there.

I just got so fired up at Qman because no one should EVER be discouraged from reading, learning, and contributing. sheesh

Don't fret, a lot of the time it's more of a personal attack. Ad hominem.

So occasionally when I come to a thread, I end up at the bottom and scroll my way up.

And this is what I see, (which makes me wary of whether I should read anything posted prior to that.)

I really only got into this blog to poke a Dawkins-ite and have some fun. I am pretty disillusioned with what passes for 'rational sceptics' these days - if the vile rantings here are anything to go by.

And close.

Bugger off Miranda. There are plenty of rational discussions that go on daily. If you only came here to prod Dawkins-ite you are at the wrong site. Perhaps Dawkins has an official fan club you can bother.

Qomak,

I think I have made it quite clear that on this issue I was in the process of self education and was indeed an amature. I never claimed to have all the answers and the brain storming started as me questioning. How utterly ridiculous of you to suggest that just because one isn't a classroom taught professional that they should keep their mouth shut and have an air of low self esteem.

Your arrogant pompous attitude isn't doing your thinking skills any justice.

TWP, I'll take back fascist if you will take back missy.

Sure, if missy is that objectionable to you. I quite frankly don't care what I get called, I just wanted to understand exactly why I had been labeled as such.

realized that I was defending the human rights of Islamists (thanks Bonzai, it's shorter than typing Muslim extremists) when Fanusi is right, they would not consider mine.

I'm glad that you finally realised that Titania. There are certain posters on this board who we are still waiting on to also reach that conclusion. I often feel that some get so caught up in the "human" aspect of the discussion we forget exactly what type of humans we are dealing with here. These are people who have a mindset that they are above and better then the rest of their non-islamic world and their actions reflect this.

was just trying to get TWP to see that our Constitution and its protection of civil and human rights represents a huge advance for humanity and I do not want to give up any part of it to combat Islamists.

Neither do I. But you forget I'm not just thinking about the United States. I was for the most part discussing issues on a world wide level, unless otherwise noted.

I agree that we have to combat this barbarism; I just don't want us to become barbarians. If we do, what are we fighting for?

Right, but exactly what did I suggest that was barbaric?

I hope we can agree to disagree on tactics that hopefully we will never have to employ and move the discussion to how to combat the spread of Islamism and sharia into Western society and to help Muslims who are already here better assimilate.

We can. I'd be happy too. In fact if you can recall Fanusi and I were in the middle of doing so before everyone decided to harp on the deportation issue.

So that being said was there anything else that we did discuss and go over that are to your liking? Would you like to add to the list any?
