  1. Could anyone tell me the name of the hymn/anthem sung at both Darwin’s and Hamilton’s funerals? Is there a recording? Its a beautiful piece of music. Thanks.

It comes from Proverbs 3:13 Happy in the man who findeth wisdom.

  3. If you don’t know much about Hamilton and the history of altruism I recommend the book The Price of Altruism: George Price and the Search for the Origins of Kindness by Oran Harman. Its more about Price but Hamilton is mentioned quite a bit as well and they were both fascinating people. Its a nice intro for people like me who don’t know much about the history of biology and are interested in the concepts as well as the people who created them.

It is “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom”.
