That’s a good point.  But all the things you mention can be detected by instruments of one kind or another.  If you believe in spiritualism, you must believe that certain people are “sensitive” to spirits and can detect them.  What would be different about a spirit that human being can detect it, but can’t be detected with an instrument of some kind?  That’s a question that I don’t think anybody has an answer for.
