Yonkey. But 2a in math is the same as aa, it just simplifies to 2a.
W4U. I disagree, in mathematics 2a is a multiplication, not an addition or a concatenation.
Wait a minute, this is starting to sound like a theological argument. 😉
concatenation = a series of interconnected things or events. &. the action of linking things toget…

One for the road.

Mike Keefe drew a cartoon in the Denver Post that perfectly portrays a prevailing attitude toward our rogue weather. The cartoonist shows a man pointing at a calendar and yelling at the thunder clouds (or God?): “What? You having trouble with the small print? The calendar says it’s spring, dammit!” It makes me wonder who’s…

@Dad1. I agree! 🤣
Probably this helps affect the weather and climate.
“Probably” 😳 You haven’t a clue, do you. Guess it’s another topic you’ve never stopped to actually learn about.
@Dad1. There is was and worldwide famine coming. Climate change is like the minor leagues.
Sure buddy, the weather is minor league. Guess you don’t unde…[Read more]

@Dad1 – There is no reason to think God is a liar and that such foolishness has any merit.
That’s funny. The personal God’s that people have created for themselves are full of lies. The Bible is full of lies. People are full of lies. Simply because. you’re ego blinds you to evidence, does make your imagined real, or honest. Are you one of…[Read more]

Yeah, I should have credited @heartnsoul19.
I agree with the heartnsoul that we’ll never fully understand evolution or the complexities within our bodies and the universe beyond. Though we are giving it a heck of a shot. Too bad we don’t spend as much time digesting what we already know, so fail to comprehend the most of it.

@Dad1 Explain in your own words the best few reasons/data/evidence points that you actually think your close relative is a little flatworm?
Because that’s where the physical evidence points to.
Plus the fact that the flow of evidence is so harmoniously self-consistent. But you wouldn’t have a clue what I mean if you never learned anything a…[Read more]

It’s easy to understand the basics. The single most important thing to learn about before anything else makes sense, is that we have an atmosphere, about 99% of it is nitrogen and oxygen, within the remaining 1% is a small amount of greenhouse gases.
They are called greenhouse gases because of the way they allow the Sun’s ultraviolet rays t…[Read more]

I was just trying to figure out what you’re paragraph was all about. Let me stretch it out
The United States is a sea of multi-racial destitution. According to the analysis of SCF data by Matt Bruenig with the People’s Policy Project,
poorest 10 percent of the US population is about 54 percent white, 27 percent black, 12 percent Hispanic, and 3…

I’m at least trying to make sense of my confusion.
Thank you

@Lausten. (Sam Harris) says wealth is supposed to remember that to create more wealth, it has to re-invest, it has to use some of that wealth to educate, encourage innovation, generally keep the environment healthy so more wealth can be created. We, or at least the ones who hold the wealth, have forgotten that.
Yup I did. It seems so f…[Read more]

Weather is fairly predictable within reason. If all you want to do is give a 7 day forecast, no problem. If you make claims about the climate many thousands of years ago and why you think it changed and how you might think that relates to today or some such long range climate stuff, well, of course you would need to back it up and show the… -

@write4u. I have also tried to construct an analogical equation of God as the spiritual identification for a quasi intelligent mathematically functioning universe.
But it can’t be done. As soon as you try to makes sense of the concept of a God in a non-scientific context, you run into trouble.
I’m not so sure about that anymore.
