Gosh X, is that emptiness you inhabit a refuge from the nightmares?

From your words,  I read that you haven’t slightest the notion of what I could be talking about.   You can’t even fathom and of the dozens of connections and beauties than lie within that frame for me.  Nor why in particular this or that element holds a memory or meaning.   But you feel comfortable making grand pronouncements about things you not only haven’t a clue about, but haven’t the slightest curiosity in.

I knew an old man once.  I was still at the point of believing age brought wisdom and all that.  I kept prodding and asking for his overview of life having experienced so many decades, you know, a finally summary before leaving the stage or something like that, “It’s all shit,” was his response.    So there.  You win X.

Although, then again I knew a thing or to about the guy, and also about things he’d done that contributed to his disappoints, and I remember something else another old person once told me, “You sleep in the bed you make.”
