If I follow the logic, you can’t talk about the evidence of his guilt because that’s accusing him of guilt before he’s convicted, but you want the investigation to be open. We can’t have investigations because he is not proven guilty yet, but there has to be a vote on his guilt, based on, what?

I remembered the movie. Can’t find anyone talking about the extras though, so I’m not sure if they all went over to the DVD versions. 

That line has stuck in my head forever. It really developed the Picard character too, the way he was obviously personally offended by the description, but kept himself composed to act as ambassador to this new life form.

He’s definitely on the defensive and clearly rationalizing. But it’s not clear what he thinks that word means.

Now my cousin says he’s using conceptual rationalization. I don’t know what that is but he seems to think it means he doesn’t need facts.

His lack of vocabulary is endearing for his base, but annoying to the rest of us.
