Write4u – Then you were wrong, weren’t you?

If I was wrong about denying Gore’s hypothesis. The North Pole “will be ice-free in the summer by 2013 because of man-made global warming.

If you believe what Gore was saying in 2009. The earth has already pass the point of no return Co2 levels and we are all screwed.

Mother Nature says the sea levels will rise up 200 ft and then down 200 ft in one climate cycle that lasts 100K years. This is not a constant. During a glacial maximum 100K cycle the sea level can drop up to 500 ft.

So, yes the sea will rise the 20 ft. but not in the timeline and reasons as in Gore’s hypothesis. Gore was not about Mother Nature it was about Climate Change. Gore himself was not claiming he came up with any of these predictions. He was quoting what was coming from different scientists mostly around 2006. This can be debated because Gore did make some predictions in statements in the course of talking about Climate Change. But let’s not be nit-picky and only bring up the predictions he got from the scientists. He got the Nobel Prize in 2007.

Timeline – Write4u, here are some facts for the fun of it.

130,000 years ago, was the last time the sea was higher than it is today.

26,500 years ago, Earth’s most recent glacial period peaked.

21,000 years ago, the sea was 410 ft lower than it is today.

12,000 to 7,000 years ago. significant jump in sea level by 197 ft

2,000 to 100 years ago. The sea levels stayed just about even.

0 to 1,500 years from now. Between now and then we should begin to see Ice Age movement. We have moved into the next Ice Age. As far as weather, we are in the warm lag that follows the cycles.

Note: If all the ice around the world were to melt today, sea level would rise about 230 feet.

Today we are seeing record breaking heat. What we don’t hear about is record breaking cold. But it is there. We are having just as much record breaking cold as heat.
