Like any common consultant knows, the correct answer is always It Depends.

If the appropriation is for exploitation – just for money, fame, etc – then, Yes it is wrong.

If it’s simply for interest or admiration, “Imitation is the best compliment” … or something like that.

Something in between?  It depends.

I think that’s a good and fair answer. I’ve been reserving judgement on the left in regards to these issues because it seems as though the media/social media is exploiting the left to look like a bunch of extremists.  What you said there was reasonable, but people screaming at another because they somehow think they are the only ones who can use certain things because their race invented it is crazy.
