That’s not even talking about the domestic violence against women in the U.S. and other countries.

I’ve been wondering why she didn’t say something sooner, like before she left for Tokyo. I get people thought of her as a GOAT (Greatest Olympian of All Time) and “The Greatest Olympian of the World” etc etc. This would instill fear of not living up to what people thought, which in turn would cause her issues with performing. I get all of that,…[Read more]

Mriana replied to the topic Vaccinated losing patience with unvaccinated in the forum General Discussion 3 years, 5 months ago
I’m glad I’m not the only one angry about the current situation in the U.S., especially in MO, AR, TX, and other states with high Delta. As I said, I’m also scared that the unvaccinated will cause all our efforts to get vaccinated will be all for not. A few weeks ago, my husband and I went down to Southern MO to see my mother, who I had not seen…[Read more]

I know I have, especially if they spew misinformation that’s been debunked or anti-science junk. I’ve also lost patience with Gov’ner Parson, who didn’t want cities or counties to have mask mandates again, yet they are and the State of MO is suing each city in MO that has mask mandates again. It’s all really stupid, including Gov’ner Parson. I…[Read more]

Moral teachings must start at a young age. As a way of life and living. Kids should grow up in a moral society. Not study it in a class so much as live and breath morality without having to think about it.
Who said it doesn’t start early in a secular household?

A very bad example. COVID-19 is a textbook reason in the making of why not to listen or trust scientists. Today there are 4.2 million reasons not to trust COVID-19 scientists.
Really? I think not trusting scientists is the very reason we are in this mess today. The dotard didn’t pay any attention to them, even fired them, and then the virus…[Read more]

President Biden did err when he said that, but I don’t think it was intentional, unlike the dotard’s lies to the public. It seems to me his generation makes that mistake concerning vaccines. They seem to have this belief (at least my mother does) that once vaccinated, you are immune. I keep having to explain otherwise.

ya got me, no problem.
I have found that CoG Anderson and WCG have quite a bit of similarities, as well as some differences. My grandparents only turned on the TV for the weather. Once the weather was over with on the news, the TV had to go off again and while music was OK, it had to be Xian music. My grandmother was…[Read more]

If people do not get vaccinated the virus will not only become endemic, but our vaccines could be useless. The key is everyone getting vaccinated against COVID-19. We need at least 80%, but even then it it could still evolve. Right now, the Delta variant could even infect fully vaccinated people, but at this point, the majority who do get it…[Read more]

I’m not, and never did disagree that putting a few of the statues, built between 1890 and 1950, into museums, and the history of how they were built in the Jim Crow era, and their purpose of trying to paint the old south in a better light.

Aye @mriana. I brainwashed myself in to the chiliast cult of Armstrongism from age 15 as a shallow, wee-wee end of the pool bright, lower middle class English child of The Bomb. The cult did the astounding thing of deconstructing itself 25 years later. Not far enough for our rich tastes obviously. 25 years on my deconstruction continues. Only…
