I’d be stupid to invent a bioweapon without possessing an antidote. I don’t see anyone in particular being immune from the virus or its variants.
Quite true, but you have to admit, COVID-19 would make a good virus for germ warfare. This is something officials have been concerned about with Smallpox and anthrax- that some country would attempt to use them in germ warfare. The thing with Smallpox, even though many of us born before 1980 (I think that’s when they stopped vaccinating for Smallpox) have been vaccinated for Smallpox and despite waning effectiveness of the vaccine after all of these years, there is still a good chance it won’t bother those of us who have been vaccinated as bad as those who haven’t. In other words, we might a mild bought, but those of us over say 45 years, might lose our adult kids and grandkids to Smallpox, which would hurt awfully bad emotionally. Anthrax is another one that can do damage and even far fewer people are vaccinated, if any one is, but there is an antidote. However, I’m fairly convinced COVID-19 didn’t occur due to germ warfare, but it did sort of look like when it first struck China.
