Scientists work with knowledge. The public took the controllers of knowledge and turned them into gods. Then the people prayed to the gods to give them and their children some of that knowledge. The gods lived in the sun and sent that knowledge by sunlight to the people.

Right. That’s a load of horse puckies. What you obviously aren’t understanding is that science changes as new information is found. Unlike religion, it updates itself in light of new info. Religion still has a bat as a bird… so the Bile says. Of course today, you don’t believe it is, because of science. Everything you stated is science updating itself with new information, thus science can be trusted, unlike religion, which brainwashes.
