Bull, you don’t know what you are talking about.  Carrier is a historian, not a physicist or even much of a philosopher.  What I related is spot on accurate.

Carrier goes on at length about how there are no rules in absolutely nothing to prevent something from nothing.  Do your research before you throw out the word “misrepresentation”.

And yes, he hides behind a moderation wall that you literally have to pay money to get through, going even further than the typical gaggle of social justice warriors over at PZ’s little safe space for uncritical thinkers, until even PZ gave him the boot.

His biblical criticisms are more likely to strengthen the faith of the christian believer, just as the illiteracy of Mohammad strengthens the faith of the muslim.  Every time Carrier points out things that do not happen in ordinary life and that ordinary men cannot do and events that are amazingly contrived, the believer is shouting “of course you fool, Jesus was not an ordinary man, the fact that he made all these extraordinary things miraculously happen is proof he really was the son of god”.
