Widdershins, I don’t recall anything in the Bible about monkeys. Are u saying that Adam and Eve had sex like monkeys? I suppose they could have made more children besides their one surviving son, and then kept on procreating incestually along with their wildly incestual offspring. But the chance of a viable population emerging from one co…[Read more]

I’m not scared of that little girl. Oh wait she’s got something in her hand! No! Phew! She’s just pretending to be wielding a Glock left handed.
Cute and precocious indeed.
It’s fine for women to be a wee bit narcistic. How else can they be motivated to put on makeup everyday?

“… ID cannot be considered a scientific discipline because it does not follow the basic requirements for scientific research. First, it is a supernatural explanation. Second, it cannot be used to make predictions. Third, it relies on argumentation rather than on data and the testing of…[Read more]

Woman with her husband at the Psychiatrist’s office: Doctor, doctor, my husband thinks he’s a chicken.
Psychiatrist: Be at ease my good woman. We have medicines that will bring him right back to himself.
Woman (looking worried): Well is there another option? Cause we sure can use the eggs.
(Point being, if you’re laying eggs, you must re…[Read more]

Well, darn it. How can we get over something with this “right” that you described in the opening post? I mean, I can think of one way. When there is something like religious monument on a public site (like a Courthouse) humanists could demand placement of Darwin monument or such. Is there something else?

“Russiagate” IS the propaganda.
Truth is more important than party. (T rumpists party members cannot say that. Well they could, since they are avid liars).
Dore and his ilk are useful idiots of the Russians, spreading the big lie that Russia did nothing of consequence.
The Mueller report found that the T rump campaign were quite happy to be r…[Read more]

I seem to recall that there is a religion in which a psychedelic cactus (whose use is typically prohibited by law) can be used in the ceremonies/rituals of that religion.
Are you saying that if I profess a sincere belief that I need to have a ritual with the psychedelic substance that I have the same right to do so as members of the particular religion?

T rump’s 5 republican members of the SCOTUS decided yesterday that they will probably kill the Dreamer’s dream to stay in our country that is the only country they have known since childhood. That decision will be finalized next spring?

“The United Nations Framework Convention (UNFCCC) is the international response to climate change. It is a treaty that establishes the basic obligations of the 196 Parties (States) plus the European Union to combat climate change. It was signed at the Earth Summit in 1992 and came into force in 1994.
The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the…[Read more]

How did all the people come to populate the Earth, from just Adam and Eve?
(I’ve heard pieces of stories, but I don’t have a clear story about it.) I’m asking mainly from the point of view of a Southern Baptist or any of the denominations that have the same creation myth.

You’re saying he’s a scab and a drain hole crapper. That’s a step up from your hero’s attribution of asylum seekers (murderer and rapist).
Are you starting to come out from the darkside?

It seems pretty heavy on the motivation to study math as a cultural defense if you are a minority. But if it gets some to learn math that’s good. I couldn’t tell whether, in all that curricula, there was much actual math being taught. And I don’t see how it could be worthwhile to require it of any students who weren’t interested in it (like mo…[Read more]

I am still confused. You seem to have admitted to not doing something, but I am still not sure what. And I have heard of a cocktail called “sex on the beach”. In my younger days at beaches, I am sure I contemplated and quickly ruled out the actuality of engaging in intercourse, directly on the beach. The grittiness of the sand makes that a no-…[Read more]

I don’t remember whether they said how long the lady had been dead, but that was a remarkably beautiful way of presenting the imaging of her brain. It was aesthetically beautiful and I think it pays a grateful homage to the family, at the same time.
