Could it be that ancient aliens implanted a program in our genetic codes, that now effects our awareness of current day extraterrestrials? Such that more mentally challenged individuals automatically know things about extraterrestrials and reasonably smart people think it is all bunk? Ancient alien researchers say “Yes.”.

The “experience of redness” implies awareness of redness. Thus it requires not only perception of things that are red, but conscious awareness of some kind that one is seeing “red”. That involves behaviors such as discriminating red, recognizing that it is “red”, and perhaps thinking or feeling (and being aware of the feeling) something fr…[Read more]

So we need better communication technology. Perhaps something like an innovation of using entangled particles over remote distances to communicate. Tho currently that is thought to be impossible.

T rump has turned our situation in Syria into one that is completely FUBAR.
Meanwhile, T rump is clearly guilty of abusing the power of his office in order to influence Ukraine to dig up dirt on his current top polling political rival. He has been actively doing these things to try to effect his chances in the 2020 election. Instead of doing…[Read more]

I would like to see a scene adapted from Kill Bill, with AOC’s face on Uma Thurman, while she goes thru one of her big kill scenes. Her doomed adversaries would have the faces of all of the typical disgusting right wing icons.

After his betrayal of the Kurds, T rump announced that we have defeated ISIS in Syria and now our troops are leaving. But apparently troops are just moving to south Syria. Apparently not all the special forces are even out of northern Syria, yet.
T rump is a liar, to the point that he cannot always maintain functional relationships.

You are probably right about most of that. It could explain why the common sense action of de-scheduling marijuana as a level 1 narcotic has been avoided for so long.

Hot off the press: Kurds save themselves by allying with Assad.
So T rump basically gave our former allies (the only ones fit for combat enough in that whole region, to take down ISIS with our support) he basically has given the Kurds to his boyfriend Vladimir Pootin.
A lot of the imprisoned ISIS fighters have disappeared. Hopefully not all o…[Read more]

I think that the fair tho liberal media is in a quandary about how much T rump material to air. It is clear that it is free network time to T rump. (free airtime during campaigns is gold if it is positive and silver if it is negative). OTOH, T rump just creates SO MUCH inane material everyday. It is news exactly because it is so crude, or so…[Read more]

” “do-gooders” are always weenies.” That sounds like an opinion not a fact.
Anyway the quote you based it on could easily be about serial killers. Note: “The best (serial killers) lack all conviction, while the worst (serial killers) are full of passionate intensity.”
I like your new pic, btw.

Eek, I think I used the wrong conjugation of the verb “rise”. I think I should have said “raised” instead of “risen”. Sorry grammar police.
Wouldn’t it be horrible if some sketchy researchers brought your brain back to life enuf to engage your consciousness long after there is any hope of actual recovery?

I recall George W. saying no one could have predicted what happened with Katrina and New Orleans. That is weird, because I saw it predicted on a special on PBS a few months before it happened. (I just bring that up, because you keep saying that there are things that are unexplainable, that are actually quite explainable.)

So it is so Hard to explain, according to you and Chalmers, how we are conscious of seeing red. As young toddlers we have all the hardware to see red, (what you call having the neural activity for redness happen). But toddlers cannot, as you say, have “the conscious experience of redness” until they have also achieved the requisite verbal b…[Read more]

If philosophical zombies are conceivably possible AND if this conceivability implies their metaphysical possibility, then supposedly it would follow that physicalism is false.

Daniel Dennet 5 years ago, said,
“Is the Hard Problem an idea that demonstrates the need for a major revolution in science if consciousness is ever to be explained, or an idea that demonstrates the frailties of human imagination? That question is not settled at this time, so scientists should consider adopting the cautious course that postpones…[Read more]

Christians already (supposedly) believe in reversible death, i.e., Lazarus, Jesus, all the dead Christians who will be risen from their graves when Jesus returns in the end times. They probably won’t be impressed by the resurrections of a few pig brain cells.
