Not to mention that the world was a little different 600 yrs ago. That level of evil, against humanity, in Christianity is no longer, front and center, a part of Christianity. But it still can be, and often is, in Islam despite our living in a world of mass communication, education, ease of transportation.

Seriously, why has the DEA been so intent for so long in preventing the re-scheduling of marijuana? It is ridiculous and immoral. Every year lately there are rumors that it will be rescheduled soon. It is always blocked. Look at the requirements for a substance to be classified level 1 (currently that includes heroin, and insanely enough, ma…[Read more]

This problem stems from the fact that marijuana is STILL scheduled as a class 1 narcotic. STILL!!! We could have had decades of legitimate research done by now if it had been re-scheduled decades ago as it should be.

Hey man. It’s in the Bible. “There’s a time for every purpose under heaven. A time to be dickish and a time to act like a pansy liberal.” or something like that.

You said “Neural Activity is a type of Phenomenon and the Experience of Redness is another totally different type of Phenomenon.”
What is this mysterious “Experience of Redness”? How does it differ from “seeing the color red” or from “visualizing something red, or imagining something red” (all of which would have neurological correlates)? Is it…[Read more]

Ten Thousand of these Kurds that we have abandoned, died while fighting ISIS in the place of more of our own soldiers. One of the special forces Americans said that this is the 1st time he has been ashamed of what he was doing in the military, now that he has left Kurdish brothers/sisters in arms to be wiped out.
This is a betrayal of epic…[Read more]

Interesting. I imagine that Bonobos could be taught to do coordinated actions like that. But it seems significant that they don’t do it naturally.

Tee,
Years ago on this very site (CFI FORUMS) I was making all of the arguments about Islam that you are. My stance was that Islamic doctrine is unique in its likelihood of being interpreted to foster and promote violence. As I recall, at the time, I tended to be the sole voice for that perspective. I was faced with answering all of the ty…[Read more]

I reject this assumption: “The thing is: A person can either be a dick or change minds, but they really have to choose.”
There are lots of people that I consider to be quite dickish, who actually do change minds and reinforce minds to maintain dickish beliefs.
My suggestion: Be a dick, strategically, but only against the dickish.

There are many thousands of ISIS fighters imprisoned in that area in Syria under the auspices of the Kurds. Chances are the Turks will wipe out the Kurds and ISIS will re-constitute its caliphate in Syria. We won’t have the Kurds to die for us in taking them out this time.
Our POTUS is MAJORLY untrustworthy, and is clearly able to act on his…[Read more]

Trump has made America a Betrayer of Allies bigtime, as of today. The Turks seem to be going after the Kurds, who are vulnerable to them, now that Trump pulled out the few troops we had there in Syria. He did this seemingly on a whim and quite unilaterally, without input from anyone except the Pres of Turkey. The Turks may choose to wipe out th…[Read more]

If after the Mueller report showed that Trump benefited from the Russian interference, and we all saw Trump proclaim “Russia, if you’re listening… get Hillary’s emails.” We saw him proclaim this on TV.
