Ohhh, I take exception to your blanket condemnation of American music.  It is clear that you have never heard Pat Metheny and his various groups.

I consider him one of the all-time great guitar virtuosos and composers along with the now-deceased Lyle Mays.  Their works will match any works any artist or composer time history. His music is uniquely eloquent and stands above all other jazz works
